Lynne made us feel so welcome at New Year, she was attentive, friendly helpful with every aspect of our stay and makes a wonderful breakfast. We were so upset when she told us that she would be retiring after we left and that we wouldn't be able to stay again. We will definitely stay in the converted barn opposite that...

We stayed at Farleigh Cottage in August 2014 and we're still thinking about it! Lyn was a wonderful host. She gave us great information about the area including things to do and good restaurants in the town. The B&B is charming with comfortable rooms and a lovely back garden.

My husband and arrived at Farleigh Cottage after driving through Dartmoor National Park. Lyn is the PERFECT host, and offered us tea in the visitors sitting room Once we were settled in, we asked about dinner in the village, and she made reservations for us at an amazing local restaurant....even providing each of us with an umbrella as we set...

Stayed for one night whilst on a charity bike ride to Cornwall. Room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was really nice with plenty on offer. My wife & I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2015. Absolutely great - can't recommend it to you enough. Lyn couldn't be more welcoming & helpful: home made cakes to welcome, home made shortbread in room every day if feeling peckish - breakfasts - well, tablecloths, cloth napkins, fresh fruit, everything you could ever hope for in a...

We have stayed in many B & B's over the years in the UK, Ireland and the U.S.and the Farleigh Cottage ranks among the best. Lyn is charming, engaging and was very helpful directing our expeditions into the countryside. The town is lovely, we visited ancient and natural sites close by, and then still had time to have an excellent...

What a lovely cottage to stay in with such a fantastic hostess. My partner and I were greeted with a delicious piece of lemon cake and a pot of tea before going out to explore the beautiful surroundings. Lyn also makes a great English breakfast and thoughtfully gave us freshly toasted hot cross buns and an egg cup filled with...

Located a few blocks from "downtown" Chagford, this guesthouse was just perfect for us. After a long day of exploring Dartmoor National Park, coming "home" to tea with Lyn, the owner, then a short walk to our choice of 3 pubs for dinner, was great. We stayed in the two bedrooms upstairs - both were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were...

“The larger ensuite room was already booked. Our room though small was charming, but given the opportunity I would book the larger room.”
