Stayed for one night in a lovely room overlooking the square with lots of little added touches to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was ample and delicious. We were made very welcome and would definitely recommend staying there. The building is historic but with good modernised ensuite rooms.

We chose this inn to meet up with friends from Cornwall, each having the same distance to travel. Although difficult to park ( there is no car park ) we immediately thought what a great place to stay. Chagford is a small country town, with lots of gorgeous cottages, and quaint shops, very much aimed at country life. We were...

Despite worries about being above a noisy pub, we slept well both nights. The room was well equipped and clean, the breakfast was brilliant (local produce and lashings of it) and the people who run the place were funny in a good way and eager to please. Not for those who don't like dogs, chintz or who want everything to...

It has a very warm atmosphere and good service. You can find a wide range of Devon beers and enjoy different option of English foods here and enjoy the atmosphere. They have 2 lovely friendly dogs and of course if you don't like dogs it might make you a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise you will definitively enjoy this friendly restaurant and...

The room was spotlessly clean and had all the ameneties you could need including toiletries and robes. The decor etc is quite basic and the teddy...

We stayed for one night so we could see our favourite band. We were able to have our room any time after 12pm. Our room was a good size, very clean, very comfortable bed and lots of nice touches such as a variety of drink sachets, bottled water, home cooked shortbreads in a tin, dressing gowns and toiletries. We asked beforehand...

Centrally located, car parking near by, good welcome, well hosted throughout stay, clean and comfortable. Not the largest of rooms, but ideal for a short stay, very quiet apart from the electric shower. Evening Food was very good with comprehensive menu, as was breakfast.. Good value with some extra nice touches, (bottled water, dressing gowns). Bar and beer good. Will...

We treated ourselves to a room here after camping on the moors recently and really enjoyed it here. The pub itself is lovely and traditional with nice old photos doted around, fireplace and beer garden. There is a lovely dog (Willow) and the place has a homely feel. The staff were local, very friendly and attentive. The room was cosy...
