Some great things in life never change, and this is definitely one of them. Having spent our honeymoon at Furzeleigh Mill, we decided to return after 40 years to celebrate. Our son and partner joined us for the weekend, and all four of us had a fantastic time. Some things had changed (there is now a TV in each room...

The wife made a decision to spend our easter weekend in Buckfastleigh this year, and this quite secluded AA*** spot had space for us to stay. First night was a bit noisey as the property is a little creaky with age, but every night after that we slept without a problem. Found the breakfast very very nice, nearly as good...

This was our 3rd visit here and we are already planning a 4th visit. Couldn't ask for better service, lovely building in a lovely place with lovely staff. We ate on two evenings and the home made food is amazing - such a shame that they weren't serving food on the Sunday as it just isn't possible to match the...

This Hotel is in a good location off the A38 and despite the closeness of this busy road is very quiet. There is no lift and many short flights of stairs and narrow corridors and at the time we were there building works going on in a room very close by. Once again as in so many guest houses and...

Wasn't sure what to expect of the place, arrived and was pleasantly surprised. Room 3 was a good size, all areas were clean and free from mould and other dust. The bathroom was a little cramped but not overly so, the water from the hot tap and shower wad really hot (which is a good thing) One tiny thing that...

Visited the area due to a funeral, and although the room was small it was more than adequate for 3 adults sharing. The room was clean and tidy, and the owners were welcoming, they were happy to open the bar for us to grab a drink despite no one else around and no dinner being served. I don't think this...

Very cramped for a double.suspect a single sized room with a double bed..toilet/shower was a joke, so close to each other that you could wash your feet while at the toilet. Wardrobe very, very small. No where to put luggage, basin was in the bedroom, not ideal. The bed frame swayed at the least movement.

We visited for Sunday lunch on the 18th December for the twelfth year running. After this experience I am very sad to say it may be our last. Unfortunately on the first course I had to return my soup due to it being stone cold, the young waiter was very apologetic. The rest of the party had the prawn and...

My wife and I had lunch together with friends on Sunday 18th December 2016 and it was a first class meal with friendly staff (although they were very young learning their trade) and the place was filled to capacity. Consequently we had a very pleasant leisurely meal with ample breaks between courses. On Monday 19th December we again had lunch...
