Stayed in this old mill house which is right on the banks of the river dart and had a great room with a four poster overlooking the river from the first floor. Friendly welcome and room was a little dated and in need of decoration but this did not upset our stay in the slightest. Ate in the restaurant and...

I stayed overnight while working in the area. Cecelia and staff welcoming and helpful. Stunning location next to the River Dart. Quaint hotel, good value room, good WiFi, excellent breakfast. Can't wait to stay again.

After being sat for 15/20 minutes we were asked for our orders. Only three had starters. We then waited approx 35 mins for our starters. After complaining about...

On arrival at the inn, we thought it was a lovely setting and staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was bright, basic but clean. Breakfast was the normal fare, nothing to get excited about but adequate. Lovely location with outside seating overlooking the river. The staff were friendly and efficient. The menu had a good selection and the prices were very reasonable. Would certainly go again when in the area

The Abbey Inn has to be one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Beautifully located on the River Dart, the outside terrace is a superb location for drinks and relaxation. Jake and Cecilia couln't have been nicer - so friendly and welcoming - and they do all the cooking themselves as well as running the fab pub and...

Stayed 2 nights on business. The abbey promises; Simple rooms- delivered! Simple, but comfortable. Real ales - delivered! 3 of them, all excellent. Riverside frontage - delivered! Nice sun trap overlooking the river. The sign outside needs updating to also say 'great food'. My evening meal which was baked Camembert followed by steak and chips plus the trimmings was excellent....
