Where shall I begin? At £200 per night for a "superior" room with D,B&B (for 2 people), I don't expect, cheap pine furniture with a curtain over an alcove for a wardrobe, or to be showered in dust from the telephone/alarm clock. Also had to ask for cobwebs and insect parts to be removed from the bathroom window - they'd... More

Your assessment of our furniture is subjective, and whilst not to your taste your views are not shared by the majority of our guests, or us. The comments relating to our housekeeping will be assessed, we can always improve, though spiders are prolific in the country side, and our housekeeping team do work to a high standard, and it is... I was recently on holiday visiting Dartmoor with my little dog. Having failed to find anywhere that I could park and eat in Bovey Tracey with a dog (I couldn't leave her baking in the car and it was her holiday too) I drove off in a tizzy toward Haytor and The Edgemoor appeared on the right. It was lovely... More

nine of us went the Edgemoor Hotel for a meal last night. The food was fabulous, really well presented and very tasty. It's a shame that we were the only people in the restaurant , I can't understand why it wasn't packed. I thoroughly recommend the food here, I can't comment on the hotel as I haven't stayed there.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Edgemoor which was to celebrate my husband's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again. The room was fine and comfortable and the bathroom excellent. Unfortunately the windows everywhere throughout the hotel are so dirty that we had to open windows to see the lovely garden view.... We recently had a great day at the Edgemoor hotel and would strongly recommend this as a wedding venue. We have never left a review on tripadvisor before but feel compelled to do so as we were so well looked after by all staff in particular Bernard.

I loved the look of this hotel and was attending a wedding at Colehayes so it was very close. And whilst its a beautiful building from the outside and has a lot of potential, it left a lot to be desired. Good things first - service was great. Everyone was very friendly and seemed to go above and beyond. I... More

We recently held our wedding reception at The Edgemoor and I could not praise it enough! The service was flawless from the moment we went in and spoke to Simon initially, to the moment it exceeded even the highest expectations on our special day! I honestly can not praise them enough. They were quick to respond to my many (many)... More
