Recently returned to this lovely hidden gem and whilst things were ‘not the norm, due to the social distancing rules, the care, service and attention to detail remained the same as we experienced on our previous stay. our room was big, with plenty of space and natural light. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. They had good measures in place re Covid 19. The room was spotlessly clean. The setting and grounds are very pretty. Breakfast was good. A special thank you to Dan, our waiter and barman.

We could not recommend this hotel enough! We had the most lovely warm welcome from the owners who made us feel at home right away. We stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms and there was a large enclosed lawn area outside specifically for those who had chosen to stay with their dogs which was brilliant! The room was very clean and had everything we could need and more! Lovely touches such as a dog bowl with treats and towels etc! The food was absolutely fantastic! Couldn't fault it! The two staff who were working the bar and the restaurant were really polite and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is in a great location. Close to fantastic walks and the town centre of Bovey Tracey which has lots of dog friendly cafes. We will most definitely be returning to the Edgemoor Hotel!…

We visited The Edgemoor for a short family break with two little ones. The owners and staff were so lovely, knowledgeable and went out of their way both to make us feel welcome and our stay comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful and elegantly decorated to reflect its history as a school with a pretty outdoor seating area and lawn. The shower was easy to use and lovely and warm. Everything was sparkling clean and we felt very safe with the measures they have taken to protect everyone. The food is fine dining and of a very high standard, and the restaurant is efficiently organised. We were so impressed and had such a nice time exploring South Devon. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at The Edgemoor three times now and plan to visit again soon. Each room has been lovely, the food is amazing and our favourite part is the large selection of gins! The staff are so welcoming and remembered us two years later when we visited again.
