I stay here for 5nights as my nephew had his wedding reception here on the Saturday. The staff were amazing friendly and could not do enough for you. Highly recommend the breakfast and the meal on the day of the wedding was a WOW. I had a single room and the view was simply wonderful. Only downside is when the...

Dear Ms Price, Thank you for your review. The weekend wedding seemed to be a wonderful celebration, I am delighted you enjoyed it. There appears to be very little i can do about the pub, I am sorry if you were disturbed. Yours sincerely Simon Dufty General Manager

I spent the night at La Fregate with my wife using their Guernsey Residents Overnight Break deal - a 50% discount on the accommodation if you dine in the hotel restaurant. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with sea view. I don't remember my starter (not a good sign!) but my wife enjoyed her duck confit spring rolls. We both...

Dear Mr Adkins, Thank you for your commenst, I am naturally dissapointed that, overall, you did not enjoy your stay here. I do feel it is a shame that none of these points were raised at the time. Yours sincerely Simon Dufty General Manager

I attended a function at La Fregate last year and it was at that time I knew I would be back, Although this hotel is set up a hillside, approx. 5 mins steep walk from the main seafront road the hotel offers spectacular views from the restaurant, bar and our Bay View Room. We spent time simply gazing at the...

Dear Alise, Thank your for your review, and I am delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. Our Bay View Rooms with balcony are really popular in the summer and the view you could stare at for ages. I do take on board your comments about some form of background music in the restaurant and will look into this this...

The elevated position of the hotel afforded stunning views from both my bedroom and the restaurant. I only dined at breakfast which was waiter service and extremely good. I will have dinner on my next visit! The hospitality tray was well stocked and both still and sparkling water was a pleasant choice. The reception staff were very helpful and efficient...

A top class hotel our room was extremely comfortable with a fantastic view over the harbour to to Herm, Jetou and Sark. Helpful, friendly staff and delicious food make this a great place to spend a couple of nights and visit Guernsey's pretty capital town, St Peter Port. The only drawback was finding our way through narrow roads and a...

Dear Carolyn, Many thanks for you review. We appear to be Guernsey's best kept secret, i have tried to seek permission to erect the necessary signage, but regret am not making much headway, i will keep trying. We had a room in the new part of the building, with a magnificent view over St Peters Port harbor. Spacious, quiet, very clean. BUT... no safe deposit box in the room (unbelievable in 2015) and no fridge (for us less a problem). The hotel itself lies on top of a hill, a (very) steep climb from the town. Breakfast...

I have stayed at La Fregate on a number of occasions for business but decided this time to bring my wife and spend a few days seeing this beautiful island as tourists. The hotel is very good indeed. Thank you for your feedback, and I am delighted you managed to enjoy some leisure time with your wife, and hoepfully some reasonable weather. The reason for the fibre filled duvets was that a number of regular visitors are allergic to feathers, so we felt it easier to offer fibre filled as our standard and have feather filled ones as...

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at this welcoming hotel. The room was very comfortable and well equipped - the air conditioning was appreciated in this current heat. This hotel is central to St Peter Port, although difficult to find - down a very narrow road that doesn't look like an entrance to a hotel car park. The breakfast is staffed by young people from different countries who are trying to improve their English language skills. There was one lovely young woman (I think from Estonia) who was...

It was a pleasure having you back with us again. The constraints of an old building, whilst having lots of charm, can sometimes be restrictive.
