I was travelling with a large (35 person) university group, which was split across 2 accommodation locations as we could not all fit. The 28 people in the Durrell Wildlife Hostel definitely had the best location and the others were fairly jealous. Ashley and Al were really welcoming and helpful, they really bent over backwards to sort stuff out for...

This is a excellent budget option for a stay in a beautiful area with the added bonus of having a free pass to the Durrell Wildlife Park included in your stay. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, very quiet and have comfortable beds. The shared bathroom facilities are also very clean. The breakfast options were adequate, the staff are...

I stayed at the hostel for two nights and it was a very good stay! Ashley, Vicky, and Al are very wonderful hosts! The whole place is charming, friendly, and very clean. True, you have to share a bathroom with other guests, but there're several of them (bathrooms), so there's never a queue :-) The Park and the bus stop...

We stayed in this hostel for a week, and our stay was very uncomfortable. We were on a budget, and we found that many hotels in Jersey were too expensive for us to stay in. However, Durrel Wildlife Hostel is cheep and well within our price range, and is a great place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone,...

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel, it would be ideal for a taveller on a budget or young family. I felt very welcomed into the establishment and would definately stay again. The shared shower and toilet facilities were a staircase away which for me was not a problem. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. My...

Just had 7 nights with my 2 teenagers. We loved the proximity to the wildlife park and could hear the animals first thing in the morning. We had a great time, used the bus and also hired a car to see as much as we could of the island and the more secluded beaches. Hostel was spotlessly clean with friendly...

Good quality everything with nice people. However, the public transport is slightly inconvenient as its hard to get to one side of the island. The rooms are nice though, with good names and good sizes.

Stayed for one week in August in a lovely twin bedded room with my daughter. It was very peaceful with only occasional animal noises reminding us of the close proximity of the Durrell park, which we visited twice. We were delighted to see red squirrels in the garden too. The staff are friendly, welcoming and super helpful. We came on...

I stayed at the hostel with 2 colleagues and 22 11-12 year olds for 4 nights in late July/ early August. It suited us very well. The theme of the school trip was conservation and to actually stay at the wildlife park was amazing. The hostel staff were excellent and should all be congratulated on their warm welcome and care....

We have stayed at Durrell three times now over the course of a few years. The hostel is clean and friendly and as value-for-money in the peak season you can't go wrong, however out of season you can usually find a better deal at a hotel as they don't vary their prices throughout the year. You do get free zoo...
