The charm is not only in the buildings but in the wonderful owners and staff for whom nothing is too much trouble, the continental breakfast is plentiful and beautifully presented and will set you up for a trip in a large pedestrian shopping area. There are plenty of restaurants all prices and cuisines. If you're planning a trip to Jersey...

We stayed for two nights and chose the Mornington based on the reviews through this site. The owners (and indeed, all of the staff we encountered) were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and they are what saves the hotel from its 'olde world' appearance. The hotel is quite basic but comfortable and very clean (as was the rest...

The Mornington Hotel is superbly located just outside of St Helier's town centre and opposite the stunningly beautiful Howard Davis Park. The main shops in the town are about a 5 - 10 minute walk, and the harbour and beaches about 20 minutes. Though for those who are less mobile (or simply don't fancy the walk) there are regular buses...

I stayed here for two nights with a colleague in August 2014. The people that ran the hotel were simply lovely. This is ideally situated right next to Howard Davis Park, 2 minutes away from a great curry house (New Raj), and also 2 minutes from the start of the town shopping area. Being a bit of a porker, I...

Very expensive, hair dryer didn't work, shower not very good, in one of the bunk beds the wood was broken. There was spiders on the ceiling. Old and dated. The only good thing was breakfast and the waitresses were nice and polite. Won't be staying here again.

Very nice place, cosy bed and all clean and tidy. Would recommend, polite staff and friendly hotel.Ask for a room in the back, I have stayed in the front and unfortunately there is a zebra crossing just outside and can be a bit annoying the cars stopping with loud music.

I had a last minute business trip to Jersey on the busiest day of the year, and had very limited choice of places to stay. I was a bit wary simply because of the price.... But I absolutely loved this place. Yes the decor is dated, but the welcome and service is old-school too. No stuffiness, no forced smiles, just...

We went to Jersey for a few days and found a hotel by internet. Coming from Gorey habour our bus dropped us off half-a-mile away from our hotel. The first though was: Far away from the city centre. Wrong; when we got settled, we walked outside the door, took the next corner to the right and were at the beginning...

We just got back from a week long stay in the Mornington and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we stepped through the door and we hope to return again next year. The price was extremely reasonable especially for the location. The hotel is just a 5 min walk from the beach, 2...
