Dined at this hotel for evening meal. Slightly out of the way in Wicklow . Definitely old charm but bordering on almost run down - aged decor , tiles, pictures etc, long past their gloss . That said , waiting staff were professional and friendly....More

Hello we were planning a visit to Hunters on our next trip to Ireland. As we are bringing a dog with us could you tell me your policy on pets? Can they sleep in your room? How about dining, is there an outside area? Best wishes Siobhan Ennis

You would need to check directly with the owners of the hotel. No pets when I was there- they have out houses but I wouldn't put a house dog there- it would be frightening for them. Sorry I didn't know.

My mother is a Hunter from Ireland, and we were told there is an old well-known hotel south of Dublin that is run by our line of the Hunter family. Any chance that is possible? My great-grandfathers were John and James Hunter, brothers. One brother died, his brother came out from Ireland to marry his wife, keep the land (lumber near Lake Shasta, California) in the family. One brother also owned a gold mine in Colorado. My grandmother was born in 1903. She was one of 10 children. Any chance anyone has any information about our branch of the family? Your hotel looks lovely. Next time we're in Ireland, we will definitely come stay with you! I love old family-run hotels!

Hi, if you ring the hotel and ask for the current owner, he is very helpful. The hotel has been in his family for 200 years and his surname is Hunter

We have a reservation made for July. Reading current reviews we are somewhat concerned that Hunters is not up to its usual standard. Any comments.
