Just returned with my wife from our second trip to Marlfield. We had a wonderful restful time again in this peaceful haven. Special word of thanks to Dawn on reception who looked after us with great kindness as well as friendliness and professionalism. Attention to detail, great food, atmosphere and a peacock(!) - all you could want for. We look...

This was our second experience of Sunday lunch in the conservatory at Marlfield House this year and they both have been memorable times. The detail of the menu changed between summer and autumn but both were equally delicious. We were welcomed with a gin and tonic aperitif. The view of the autumn leaves from tbe conservatoey at this time of...

Marlfield House is exceptional. It is like staying in a country house rather than a hotel; really comfortable!!! We found the staff excellent - nothing was too much trouble. The Duck restaurant maybe casual but the food and service are again exceptional. We have stayed in many hotels in Ireland (and around the world) and this one is amongst if...

This is a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our short break. However, the attitude of the staff is sometimes condescending and less than warm, particularly when making a reservation. This is the reason for this late review. Our room last year ( in October actually) was very small for a twin with a poor outlook over a roof. Everything else...

My friend and I travelled to Gorey by train and walked to the place. Magnificent hotel and grounds. We had soup in the Duck restaurant and shared a seafood platter served with very tasty homemade bread. The platter had salmon, trout, crab etc and was a great choice. Only open for lunch wed to Sunday.

The food and service at Marlfield House was exceptional. The staff could not have been more accomodating and they went out of their way to organise a light meal for us at a reserved table in the Drawing Room on the second night, when we were unable to avail of the full dinner service because of a prior committment we...

Another overnight stay in this beautiful historic house has certainly recharged the batteries. Only an hour down the motorway and we are transported to a different world. The greeting is always warm, Dawn and Ann are there to welcome us and show us to our beautiful room with the heaviest fluffiest towels, luxurious bed linen and robes. The cd player...

Stayed here for my birthday, brought my two dogs and was made feel totally comfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely and spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was one of the best I've had, the fresh fruit and granola were delicious. Also had my fav poached eggs on sourdough...
