The hotel was undergoing a refurbishment when I stayed here. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. I found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful throughout the stay.

Hotel is in a great location - right in the middle of the main high street of Port Laoise. I cannot say enough good things about the staff - they were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. There is free parking on site which was a great bonus as well. We could not get our cable TV working in the room...

Impossible to sleep with noise from amplified electric guitar and drums a few doors down. Calling desk, I was told it will stop soon, at 110 am. I would expect a better response than that.hotel fine other than that. But no good if you cannot sleep with noise.

Everything was clean but room was really tiny(reminded me of boarding school room..ok that was not on-suite!) Bedding clean but very old and worn. I've read that the food is good but did...

Arrived tired having driven considerable distance. Pulled up outside hotel and entered to be greeted enthusiastically by Tom at reception. Efficient check in. Due to one way traffic system around the hotel and even after Tom's valiant map drawing exercise he sensing my reticence offered to jump in the car with me to guide me through the various roundabouts. An...
