We stayed at the Mount Brandon Hostel on September 17. This is the first time I have stayed in a hostel in about 28 years. We were six travelers hiking the Dingle Way and we booked two doubles and a twin. Although each room could have slept five or six, we had private rooms. The price per person was 22...

A terrific hostel run by lovely people ,can't thank Mary enough for all her help and assistance with our weekend, she dropped us at the start of our walk up Mt Brandon then told us to ring her if we needed a lift back to the hostel, which we did ,this saved us a very long slog back down the...

I have red many reviews on this hostel who were really positive. I confirm that the building is really nice and on sea. The rooms are very comfortable and furnitures in good conditions. The staff was really nice when I arrived because during the day I changed few times my arrival time. At the end they waited until a quarter...

We hadn't stayed in a hostel in many years but we wanted to visit the area to do the Sauce Creek hike and the Mount Brandon seemed like a good deal, even with a private room and bath. Terrific stay overall. Owner, Mary, was friendly and helpful. Food basics provided (bread, milk, cereal etc.) made mornings easy. We really enjoyed...

We lucked out on this incredible find at the end of June. We wanted to be off of the main tourist bus route and also have access to hiking up Mount Brandon. This was the PERFECT place for it. The trail starts from across the street. The rooms were quaint and clean and ours had a spectacular view of the...

I just returned from a 3 nights stay in Cloghane with 26 school children on a Gaisce Challenge weekend. The owner (Michael) is very friendly and helpful and so is everyone else working there, especially Mary. I have travelled all around Ireland with many school groups and this is one of the more positive experiences I have had. The value...

Myself and 20 of my friends spent amazing weekend on 6th and 7th December 2013. We did the Brandon Mountain walk despite misty weather, so it was so great to come back to warm and cosy hostel after that. The location is also perfect for water-lovers, the beach is nearby and the surfing beach is very close. The room are...

Comfortable, bright, and quiet room with a view of the bay. Great kitchen facilities and basic breakfast included. Welcoming pub immediately next door with wonderful chicken tikki masala and veg-friendly options. Sheets were a bit scratchy, but the comforter was just right and the bed fairly comfortable. Would stay here again.
