We stayed 2 nights at the Errisbeg House. It is and old family home and decorated with antiques and heirlooms. We had a spacious room with king size bed and good linens. The ensuite bath was wonderful for us-just a shower stall as preferred. The house has wonderful grounds and you can walk to town on a back road. The...

What a unique experience. We enjoyed two nights at Errisbeg, felt very welcome by Richard, the owner. A lovely Small Walk on a carfree road to the village. If you prefer personal instead of a large hotelchain, this kind of B&B is it for you. We will definitely recommend Errisbeg House B&B to friends aiming to visit Eire. Thanks for...

This house has great character and our 4 year old son really enjoyed his time here. Particularly Richard's explanation for the tear in the large painting in the breakfast room (ask for the story!). It is secluded and quiet-an artist was on holiday there while we were visiting and she said it was ideal for her. Great beaches are a...

Old family house with an amazing garden, 8mn walk from Roundstone village. Clean rooms and bathrooms, breakfast with local products. I would definitely recommend it if you like old houses and don't search the hotel style rooms. Many activities around. Good landing point to start the Skyroad.

Location is pretty excluded but that is what me and my partner wanted, it is not hard to find it. House looks impressive with the amount of decorations that are present. Room was spacious and comfortable, bathroom is in great condition so the facilities were great in my opinion. Breakfast was very healthy with fresh fruit from the gardens, coffee...

My wife and I have just spent a wonderful, relaxing 3 day mini vacation at Errisbeg House B&B, in Roundstone, Connemara, Ireland. Errisbeg House is the family home of Richard Stacpoole, who is probably the most charming and affable host you will ever meet on your travels and he's a Papal Duke! His home is bursting with character, a lived...

I have been embarrassingly remiss in writing this review of Errisbeg House but wanted to do so as travelers are making their plans for the coming tourist season. First, the owner and proprietor Richard Duke de Stacpoole, Richard as we came to know him, was/is a highlight of our travels across Ireland. A gracious host, a captivating conversationalist, and a...

I felt Errisbeg House was overpriced for what it was. Richard seems to be cutting costs and effort as much as he can from the quality of towels and lack of tea making facilities in an unheated house to the only hot food offered at breakfast being scrambled eggs. That said it was lovely and quiet with lots of old...

Richard's hospitality left nothing to be desired from the welcome handshake, wonderful ambience, fabulous bedrooms and fresh yummy breakfast to the fond farewell. Beautiful old house set in wonderful gardens with guinea fowl, ducks, geese etc. A lovely short walk to the village of Roundstone.
