Enjoyable 4-night stay at end of May, had benefit of incredible weather, with 2nd fl BR overlooking glistening bay and green hills in distance. Given reasonable rate, hotel is somewhat no frills, but hard product is good (comfy bed/pillows/linens/ironed sheets), but what makes experience exceptional is central location, food options, decent pint, and the genuine friendly welcome of the staff, particularly Diarmuid and Cynthia, the hard-working owners (now third generation). Look forward to returning!

My wife and I ( and a friend from Perth WA) had 3 wonderful days in Roundstone House Hotel. This was a return trip after 2 years. We were welcomed by the owners son and our bedrooms had a wonderful view over Roundstone harbour. Up early for swims in Gurteen Beach, then back for a truly hearty breakfast. Excellent walks and cycle trips locally. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. A special mention of the Restaurant run by Cynthia - we had superb seafood each night - the freshness of the sea food was to die for. Could not give this place enough praise. We will be back again.

We Stayed at the Roundstone House Hotel as our base for doing the Skoda Connemara cycle in May , Gerard ( I hope I have his name right) was brilliant from the moment we got there, he stored our bikes for us and organised an early breakfast before our cycle on the Saturday morning for us, As breakfast didn’t start at the early time we needed it. We were so grateful. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We had dinner in the restaurant on the Saturday night and it was absolutely fantastic, couldn’t fault the food or the wine recommendations. The rooms were lovely and clean and the beds were so soft and comfy! It’s a small family run hotel and it has all the feels of it. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends and we will be back. Thanks for having us. Larissa & Audrey

The owners are welcoming and the quality-price unbeatable! We made a last-minute reservation and got a room with the view on the sea. The window let no noise in, but the door is rather thin and the floor carpet is actually laid over a parquet that squeaks occasionnally. The bed was correct, the plumbing in the bathroom quite new. The breakfast offers a large range of options; the pub proposes bar food until 7 pm, then the restaurant has a fine menu starting at 7.30 (booking advised).

Have just returned from 3 nights bed and breakfast here. We got a warm welcome from Mary Ellen when we arrived and told the essentials regarding breakfast times etc. The room had a sea view and was beautifully decorated. The bed was about 6ft wide and was really really comfortable. The bathroom was modern very clean and supplied with shower gel etc. I can’t finished this review without mentioning the absolutely delicious breakfast served so pleasantly by Cynthia. There was a great choice on the menu and everything is cooked to order. We were well looked after by Diarmuid and Conor in the bar in the evenings. A great little hotel, in the middle of town with plenty of parking available. Go on, treat yourself!!

This is such a great hotel and it's my 2nd time staying here. As soon as you walk into the reception you're greeted with really friendly and helpful staff. They always have a smile on their face. There's a lovely restaurant and bar underneath and it's right in the centre of Roundstone. The room was spotless and had everything we needed.

This is a gorgeous family run hotel with fabulous scenery. We had a lovely room overlooking the bay . The food in the restaurant is exceptional, it's closed on Mon & Tues so I recommend booking in advance at peak season. The bar is also very good and more casual. We come to Roundstone for it's beauty, walks, swims and stay Roundstone House for it's food & service.

We visited the Roundstone hotel for Sunday lunch. It was beautiful. We are a family of 6 and the staff could not do enough to help and assist you in every request. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is welcoming, warm and friendly. I highly recommend a visit.

Margaret & I just spent 3 wonderful days/Nights in this lovely small hotel. Run by a wonderful family who could not do enough for you. Excellent bar and superb sea food restaurant . We had dinner there for 2 if 3 nights and some of the best sea-food ever. Delightfully fresh and lightly cooked. Could not recommend it highly enough and look forward to our next visit. We also had some great swims in Gurteen Bay and some wonderful cycles with bikes hired in Clifden.
