We had a weekend (2 nights) family reunion at the Peacocke and they accommodated us all very graciously. Great food in the restaurant, pub, and the afternoon carvery. They packed us nice sandwiches to take on our day hikes to the surrounding 12 Bens. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the gift shop had a large variety, from...

Stayed here for 1 night in June. We weren't expecting too much, however the hotel surprised! Lobby, restaurant and bar were excellent. Staff were friendly and lots of lovely tourists about. The room itself wasn't very up to date but it was clean and quiet. Good hotel for the price. I think they could give the place a makeover and...

We stayed here in July when as we were visiting our daughter the next day in the Gaeltacht and we loved it the only down fall was the weather was terrible but the staff in the hotel especially Shelly was lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough. The rooms were spacious and clean and the food was lovely and tasty....

Due to the local mart being on when we arrived things were a bit chaotic. We got checked in and sorted. It all died down and the hotel went back to normal. Loved the hotel and the staff. It's a great base to explore Connemara and nestling in some spectacular scenery. Enjoyed drinking in front of the fire later on...

We stayed for a night in Peacockes Hotel with family and friends following a wedding. To start we could not have been given a friendlier welcome by new owners Brid, Eoin and all the staff. We had a carvery dinner which was amazingly good. The drinks and craic afterwards was good, and there was no pressure. The room we were in...

We enjoyed a great meal and drinks here. Met with the owner who spent time chatting to all of his guests and ensuring that we were all happy with the services on offer. The staff were excellent and the welcome even better. He is getting better at lighting turf fires.

We asked for brown bread sandwiches, we got white. We didn't ask for chips with the sandwiches, we got chips.....what a waste of food. Service was slow. Not a place I would rush back to. The room in which we were served was dark, the windows had frosted glass in them which added to the gloomy feeling.

My husband & I stayed here for four nights recently & had we not had relatives to meet in Dublin would have stayed for another three nights. The owners, receptionists, bar & restaurant staff & chamber maids could not have been friendlier or more helpful & the food was reasonably priced & delicious & the raspberry salad dressing was gorgeous....

Smashing hotel in a very obscure location. The staff her are lovely, the rooms and food are fine. One of the finest gift shops within the hotel, but that's about it. There's nothing negative to say about this hotel but be wary about its location. If your touring Connemara or the Wild Atlantic Way, a stop over is a must,...

We stopped here for coffee whilst on a Newmarket Tour. The coffee was delicious and the staff we came into contact with were friendly and efficient. Both the Gents and Ladies toilets were clean and fresh smelling.
