After spending a week of sightseeing, I needed a "down day". My husband, still raring to go, elected to take the ferry to Inishbofin while I stayed snug and secure at Cnoc Breac. It was a most wonderful day to stay inside and read in the comfort of the living room there. Because it had turned chilly (as well as... More

Cnoc Breac bed-and-breakfast is simply excellent. Quiet and comfortable house, on a slight hill and in sight of the sea. You walk 6 minutes one way to a glorious safe beach (others within a few minutes' drive), and 15 minutes the other way, by farm track and field path, to the centre of Cleggan (super meals at Oliver's). We had... More

We stayed here for two days after a 2-day stay at Lough Eske castle and were pleased beyond expectations. This indeed is a charming hotel, with our host Tom greeting us at the door at check-in, giving attention and information when needed, and making sure the peat fire was going strong in the lounge after walking around in the the... Two nights in this small, very clean, and comforting B&B was perfect! It remains a highlight of our trip even though the weather was gray, rainy and cool. There was just something about being off the touristy routes, in the warmth of Thomas and Mary's welcoming home. Peat fire in the stove, hearty breakfast, beautiful country side, clean room all... Spent a few nights at Cnoc Breac over the June bank holiday weekend, and it was a lovely stay. Tom and Mary were friendly and welcoming hosts. The room I was in was a good size, and very clean, with a comfortable bed. The hot breakfast was quite good as well. The location was beautiful; peaceful and remote, you could... More

I loved this place from the moment we arrive. Very simple accommodation, lovely hosts who went the extra mile to make our stay more pleasant. Room was clean, well equipped and a reasonable size. Cnoc Breac B&B is in a very remote (and beautiful) area. Close to a beach and walking distance to Cleggan, it was the perfect spot after 2 nights in Dublin. Very quiet, rooms were great, breakfast was well done. There was nothing to complain about, except we had to leave too soon.
