Cashel House Hotel offers spacious accommodation, excellent food and wine at dinner and a very good breakfast. The young waiting staff in the restaurant were very pleasant, polite and helpful. It would have been an enjoyable stay in every way had it not been for the insensitive reaction we received from the hotel manager after paying the bill when I... More

Fantastic 4 night break in this idyllic hotel - amazing Cream teas, friendly service, delicious food, very chilled and relaxed in a stunning setting. Quirky, comfortable, friendly - brilliant base for exploring the beautiful Connemara.

Not swish or modern but has some really beautiful old styled rooms and some quite dated ones too. Lovely gardens and lots of nooks and cranny to sit in and ponder or chat or read. Country style food, don't expect fine dining. Great hotel in a lovely location. Well done Cashel house for your warm and friendly staff and hospitality.... More

My husband and I stayed in Cashel House Hotel with our dog for one night on our recent trip to Connemara. We had high hopes given that it is in the Blue Book but unfortunately this is not the hotel I am sure it once was. We were met with a very gruff welcome by the man on reception, handed... More

We have stayed at Cashel House multiple times over the years and recently visited it again. The grounds with the specimen plantings and flowers remain beautiful. The House is charming with drawing rooms, decorative prints, and peat fires. The food continues to be excellent continental cuisine. Unfortunately the Hotel really needs updating and is getting worn. It appears understaffed and... More

If your looking for a hotel with an old world feel, this is it, the corridors meander around the building revealing interesting little art pieces. The bedrooms are large and spacious, we had one overlooking the gardens, with flowers growing right up to the windows. The dinners where all of superb quality, but limited for vegetarians, the staff where friendly... More

This hotel must have been exceptional at its peak. Marvellous location, garden, views, multiple drawing rooms with log fires, dining room and greatly charming garden suites overlooking the flowery gardens...a bit sad that the hotel is on a gently downward path, with slowly decaying rooms, half hearted repairs, overgrown park, substandard bathrooms. The breakfast is very good, don't miss the... More

I stayed here 20 years ago and had fond memories, although I had been in the area a few times, I did not stay here. My fiance likes gardens so I stayed here, beautiful place and good food. I messed up our reservation but Ray did not charge me for the no show, who does that these days. Do yourself... More

It's a bit lost of time, rooms are really really dated, all of this "adds to the charm of the place" is nonsense Very very expensive for what it is. Waiters/Waitresses however are very nice , the bar man originally from the Philippines was a great guy. If they fixed up the rooms , got rid of the VHS video... More

Super friendly staff with good food. They accommodated us at the last minute (group of 14). Sandwiches could have been more exciting. Chowder was fabulous. Beautiful setting... Will definitely visit again.
