My nephew and I spent a wonderful night at Rosalyn's Lisdanar House during a week's bike ride across Donegal. Sometimes when I stay at a b&b it's a little uncomfortable because I feel like I am in someone's home - which, indeed, I am. Walls are paper thing, et cetera.... You need to make nice and - at least I...

A lovely b&b to stay if you're in the area. 5 minutes from town centre. Rosaleen is very helpful, kind and available for help. Breakfast is extraordinary and the icing on the cake was the home made brown bread baked by the 90 year old mom in law. Thanks Rosaleen Martine and Piet

The place was lovely, but the best part about it was the kindness and warmth of the the hostess - and she's a great cook, too! She made us fresh scones on a cold blustery day when we couldn't bike, and even dried our bike clothes!

We stayed for two nights and I wish it had been longer! We had one double room and one twin room for the teenagers. The rooms are large and well equipped with beautiful views of the garden. Rosaleen took the time to care about every experience we had in Glenties and I felt like we were visiting family. Our cooked...

I stayed with Rosaleen in Lisdanar House last year and I booked early this year to make sure of my room. The Wild Atlantic Way is proving very popular in Ireland and Lisdanar is a good pit stop in Glenties for those wanting to tour around. We went to Sliabh Liag - the drive is spectacular but people on cycle...

We experienced a range of B&Bs in Donegal during our cycling trips, both in 2011 and in 2015. Most of them are quite good but Lisdanar is outstanding in all aspects: superb hospitality, large super-clean and quite rooms with excellent beds and bathroom en-suite, a wide choice of breakfast options, all fresh and excellent quality food, situated on a short...

I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful B&B! From the moment we walked through the front door, we felt as if we were being welcomed as family rather than paying customers. We had the pleasure of staying here 2 nights during our 7 day cycling holiday & it was, by far, the best of all our accommodations! Our...

We stayed two nights while on a bike tour. Had a lovely room, quiet and large. Our hostess was really helpful and kind in so many ways - would definitely come back and recommend this bed and breakfast without reservation. Thank you for the delicious home-baked Irish Soda bread!

After 9 nights travelling in Co Donegal this B&B came out as our top stay. Pros: Exceptional genuine hospitality, Rosaleen takes great pride in her home and service. Everything was of 5* standard and we felt so well looked after (e.g. mug of tea and tasty scone on arrival after a long day walking). The breakfast was delicious and the...

The B&B is located in a beautiful area of Ireland... unique and lovely. We sadly had only a single night at Lisdanar House. Rosaleen was absolutely the most genuine, friendly, warm woman I have had the pleasure to meet. The home is spotless yet welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious in a large sunroom. We took a drive out on...
