We visit Ballymaloe House each year for dinner and have never been disappointed. Great service, choice of food and an ambient atmosphere unsurpassed. Friday night hors d'oeuvres are from a buffet and you can refill at leisure The wine list is legendary like the food.

Had dinner here with a group of friends, from start to finish thought it was excellent. Buffet starter (shellfish, terrines, salads & Bread) - too many to describe but all really good and a great way to start a meal. Soup course next - good. main Course selection was limited but adequate. Roast beef was very good - generous portions...

We spent one night here with dinner & breakfast, before an afternoon demo at the cookery school. Our room was lovely and comfortable and old-fashioned. No modern trappings and none needed. Ambience was serene. Staff were discreet and efficient. Food was very very good and simple (the ethos of Ballymaloe probably). It's a rare treat to stay here as it...

We stayed here on recommendation from friends and I am so glad we did. We spent a couple of nights here to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our large double room was comfortable, furnished with linen floral print and the room was light and airy with a view across the grounds. Don't expect to stay here and have the trappings of...

Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night but it was amazing! Highly recommend it & be sure to dine in & take a cooking course! The grounds were grand & the rooms were beautiful. The staff was very friendly & helpful.

Fantastic staff, amazing food, and a very comfortable bed. Ballymaloe is just a beautiful place to escape to. My only advice is to sit for dinner around 8 at the latest, we sat at 8.45 and by the time we were finished our main courses the staff were setting the tables around us for breakfast. Tea and coffee weren't offered...

An amazing weekend, such a lovely place with fabulous food, atmosphere and entertainment. Our 7 month old was spoiled rotten and we definitely overindulged on the dessert trolley but what a treat! Definitely recommend to any food lover!

Lovely place to stay manned by friendly and professional staff where we stayed in a cosy garden bedroom. We booked for a two night stay which included a five course dinner on one evening. Warning! do not have anything to eat for many hours before this five course banquet as the portions are substantial! Quality of the food was excellent...

This was a relaxing three day break. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice garden view. The food was good but not outstanding. The staff were excellent, so friendly and cheerful which made our stay so pleasant. Downside is that there is no tv in the rooms. There is a television room but the television is steam driven...
