We stay at the Lord Bagenal several times a year and if anything the standard is getting even higher! We just enjoyed another stay last week. Friendly and efficient staff at reception and in the restaurant. Excellent food in the bar and restaurant, very tasty and good value. Something on the menu to suit all tastes. The fillet of beef...

Stayed here the night before paddy's day for the afters of a wedding it was lovely. The room was fab, beautiful standing bath which we didn't get to use unfortunately. The bed was too comfortable just a pity we didn't have more time. Breakfast was lovely too staff were great can't recommend it enough a little Hidden gem.

Stayed in Lord Bagenal for 3 nights as we were attending a wedding. Staff are very efficient and friendly. Rooms are very large and well decorated.Bathroom a little small. There could be more tea/coffee/milk in rooms, we had to ask every day for extra. The lobby was a great place to meet friends have a drink and catch-up. We had...

Food is always poor here. Served like slop. Place is very nicely decorated but really needs a menu change. How about a stir fry or vol au vont or an all day breakfast grill option. Very poor menu. I will try to avoid coming here.

I had the 8oz fillet. It was delicious and they were accommodating to my preferences for swapping side dishes etc. All food was enjoyed by group and staff were attentive without being overbearing . Food options on menu was ok...not too many healthy options..too many breaded/battered/deep fried options in my opinion .

I couldn't complement and recommend this hotel enough, the staff and the hotel are amazing. Lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. We had our wedding here and everything was 100%. Looking forward to our next visit.

I had the monkfish tail with prawns and noodles. It's spicy with chilli and cardamon cooked to perfection and a delight on the palate. My companions had the cod in batter and the southern fried chicken respectively. Clean plates at the end. Perfect venue for a group or couples. Staff are attentive and prompt.

Cold food, slow service and small portions. We weren't impressed with the meal at all. Asked a waitress for a highchair and she never came back. We had to find one ourselves and clean it before our child could use it.

We had our reception here last Thursday 29th December and I have to say it could not have went off any better. We were treated like royalty from the very first time we visited to discuss the wedding. James was a gentleman who went out of his way for us on several occasions and further down the line Sue absolutely...
