Great place to learn Spanish and to stay. I just left, but already want to go back.
Started with no Spanish at all and after a month I could do nice chit chats. Teachers were dedicated, classes were fun. At the hotel you feel like...More
We read the details on the Mariposa website and all the information they sent us before hand and were therefore well prepared and knew what to expect. I recommend everyone does this, as reading through some of the negative reviews - I can only assume...More

Many many thanks for taking the time to write this review. I did not go to the New years bash but heard it was great fun so I am glad you enjoyed it! Hope to see you back for more fun next year!!

This is Paulette, the director of La Mariposa. It is important to be clear what we are talking about! Chagas does not exist here nor has there been a case of malaria for 15 years. La Concha, population over 50,000 has had 6 confirmed cases of Zika, they are all now fully recovered. Rabies has not been seen here in many years (I have lived here 12 years and never heard of a case) and there is a government program to vaccinate all dogs free of charge. Dengue is more of an issue, there are occasional cases here so important to protect from mosquitoes. I hope some of the many families who have stayed here and loved it reply to you as well!!
