Very beautiful Colonial House in one of the top neighborhoods Of Masaya. minutes walking from anywhere, but you also really get a feel for this neighborhood just walking around. Many excellent restaurants around. Hotel self is phenomenal comma I have been there 3 times already and I believe it is the best hotel in the city. It is quiet, beautiful,...

Air conditioning (quiet!), shower hot water (abundant!), Internet (surprisingly stable!), parking (secure!). Staff is friendly and service-oriented. Huh? Something doesn't add up. Am I in Nicaragua? <smile> Can't be beat for the price.

A tidy, clean, friendly place to stay in Masaya. Not many people stay in this town, but it really started to grow on me, and i ended up staying 5 days. The family that owns the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, spacious and had AC.

The room we had was fine for the 3 of us. The landscaping was beautiful and the food delicious. One member of our group got sick and the staff was very helpful - above and beyond. We would recommend Hotel Monimbo as a good place to stay in Masaya.

Rooms are clean and big. Do smell a littlebit smokey. Staff is really friendly, breakfast is good. You can take a taxi to the centre or walk during the day. It is an ok hotel to stay, but do not expect any luxury.

Stayed one night. Have stayed in nicer and cheaper places so felt it was expensive for what it was. Very little water pressure in shower and Bain. The loo wouldn't flush and I told the woman on front desk., resulting in several visits from her and a chap who kinda fixed it. Breakfast was fine.

We spent 4 nights at this lovely little oasis in Masaya. Owners Marta and Julio greeted us warmly. The grounds are impeccably maintained as well as the simple but comfortable rooms. All of the staff was accomodating and friendly. We tayed 4 nights in Masaya which we used to also explore the environs including the volcano and small nearby towns.

The sink in our room fell after two hours of waiting we're told we would have to pay $30 dollars for the damage. The owner was unwilling to see this as a hotel liability and nobody seemed to care that my foot got cut up. So I guess this will end up being an $81 dollar night. Frustrating!

On a recent trip to Nicaragua, where I planned to stay for six nights, my travel planner (my son) arranged for us (three adults and one child under three) to stay for two nights at the Hotel Monimbo in Masaya. The rates were so reasonable that I offered to get two rooms, and take my grandson, to give his parents...

I've stayed for about 6-7 nights in Masaya. I love this city. So much more real and interesting the the neighbor Granada- in my opinion. There are a few hostels located 2 blocks away from the parque central- I stayed in a couple, really really basic. And then one night- after reading a review on my guide book, I found...
