I wanted to find a really elegant motel for my Bride and I to stay. After researching many motels, I found The Carnegie to be the finest of all the motels in Johnson City, Tennessee. The motel met my request by placing rose petals on the bed and wine on the table with two wine glasses. My Bride was overcome...

This hotel is old and beautiful. Well maintained, has extraordinary amenities and an excellent restaurant named Wellington's. The rooms are large, the bathroom was huge. I love that they have a scale in the bathroom. The bed was very, very cozy!!! The only suggestion I would make is a makeup/magnifying mirror for the older woman. Our meal was excellent, with...

We got a real deal on a king room at this very fine hotel. Located directly across from ETSU and very close to pretty much everything in Johnson City, this hotel hosts first class events in style. We chose not to got to the "Escape from Alcatraz" New Years party, but did stop by and can attest that it was...

Love this hotel. We normally stay on one of the upper floors however this time had a first floor room. The first floor rooms have higher ceilings, however we prefer the upper floors. Nice staff. Beautiful hotel nicely appointed.

We only stayed one night at the Carnegie but I would definitely stay here again if I were to be in this area again. I booked through Hotels.com and saved a considerable amount of money when compared to the hotel's website. That being said I was not treated any different by the hotel staff. They were warm and welcoming. We...

My wife and I, and our dog Ellie, highly recommend the Carnegie. We found the hotel to be remarkably affordable and a great value. It has a luxury hotel atmosphere and wonderful seating areas for family groups throughout the main lobby, in the impressive Roosevelt Library, and on the downstairs floor where a full service spa is located. That was...

Luxurious Hotel and Spa conveniently located near ETSU, Johnson City and Jonesboro, this fabulous hotel is a faithful recreation of a hotel than burned in 1910. I was fascinated when I found out the Carnegie was new. The ambience, size and decor of spaces and the service are first rate and old world. Had I the time, I would have...

The room was large and well appointed! The hotel itself was like walking back into a time when attention was paid to all the details. We were shocked at the reasonableness of the price. It was decorated wonderfully for Christmas and is an excellent location for an ETSU graduation as the field-house is across the pedestrian bridge attached to the...
