I visited with a group for the afternoon and evening. First impressions were how lovely the countryside was and then the staff made us feel at home immediately. Horses were everywhere and it was so obvious the relationship between man and animal. The cowboy show was entertaining being shown how to crack the whip etc. The chuck wagon meal ,...

We just returned from 3 nights at the TN Guest Ranch. I took my two sons, ages 10 and 6 down to the ranch in the hopes of having an active vacation where we could all learn more about riding. The Ranch was a fantastic fit! We spent Day 1 learning about our horses, tack, and practicing in the arena....

I recently spent a week at the Tennessee Horse Ranch (also known as Sequatchie Valley B & B Guest Ranch) and it was probably the best week of my life! First class horses, wranglers, food and people! The areas you ride through are bucolic rolling green hills, with hay barns and cattle throughout, interspersed with shady trails through lovely forests...

The sign at this location is "Tennessee Guest Ranch". You can find out more info at TNHorseVacation.com. As is shown in their info, each guest is assigned a horse at check in and you take care of that horse during your stay. You can also pay for a non-rider room and board, but they may encourage you to let that...

I stayed at the Guest Ranch in the fall of 2012, with my husband and daughter. My first impression was fantastic- I arrived at a lovely ranch house, with a beautifully built red and white barn just yards away. We were greeted by mounted cowgirls on horseback, who were both polite, helpful and very welcoming. I was then greeted by...

My dad has always wanted to be a cowboy so we went here for the chance of a lifetime and were not disappointed. We were enthralled by the natural beauty of the location and were warmly greeted by the owner. After that we wanted for nothing including food, a pleasant atmosphere and an experience that most people never have. What...

Last summer we were looking for some downtime. A place to get away from the stress of work AND to celebrate our 25th year of marriage. This week in the gorgeous countryside of Tennessee fit the bill. We choice the ranch owner's experience and had the entire ranch to ourselves. We rode every day to a new destination and enjoyed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to our Tennessee Dude and Guest Ranch...where each guest receives their very own Working Ranch Horse at check-in! Hidden just outside Chattanooga, Tennessee is an area that has remained one of God's 'best kept secrets'...the beautiful Sequatchie Valley. Depicting one of the many incredible splendors of His creation....and nestled on a ridge that runs through the valley is a hidden 'horse lover's paradise'...the Sequatchie Valley B&B Guest Ranch, also known as 'A Tennessee Dude and Guest Ranch'. U.S. & International guests from around the world love learning all there is to know about horses...one of God's most magnificent creatures. Our Dude and Guest Ranch Horses actually become YOUR horses during your stay at the ranch. You and each of your family members will receive one of our beautiful guest ranch horses at check-in to be your faithful ranch partner as you discover your new found horsemanship skills or improve your existing ones. Put your new found cowgirl and cowboy skills to work in the wide open spaces as you discover the breathtaking beauty of the Sequatchie Valley in the foothills of Tennessee! Riders of all ages are ready to hit the trail after a little ridin' & ropin' instruction at the ranch...and don't forget to pack your saddle bags for our daily riverside lunch & Bible Study on the trail! The morning sun rises slowly above the mountains in the valley as the roosters begin to crow. Listen to the early morning moo's from the cattle as their sounds echo across the valley floor. Hear the sounds of the horses hooves as they gallop in from the fields. The voice of your wrangler rolls across the late morning dew as you receive a whole new world of knowledge about horses you never knew. In the evening listen close and you may hear the late night howls of the coyote across the mountain tops as you sit on the back deck or relax by the pool to study the stars in the clear open skies. Best of all, build your own Guest Ranch vacation to fit your vacation budget and schedule. Book a traditional week long Family Dude Ranch Vacation for five or six days or try our 'mini' guest ranch vacation with a three or four day getaway. Only a few families are booked at the ranch at any given time so you will enjoy the privacy of a true family guest ranch vacation. If you want the atmosphere but not the horses take a look at our Farm Stays! If you're staying somewhere else or live close enough to drive in for the day you may just want to participate in our Ranch & Ride Day Program! If the whole family can't gallop out to the ranch this year, you can even book your child for a one week or two week long National Horse Camp experience ... for kids only! ... more   less
