My family and I visited the park for an afternoon of hiking. The fall scenery is really beautiful. The park has great well maintained amenities, one of those is the restaurant. The restaurant features a well varied buffet including salad and dessert. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm and the staff is very friendly. The food seemed to be prepared low...

We visited Tennessee for the first time and stayed in a cabin at Cumberland State Park. The state park itself is beautiful and the restaurant was perfect for our family of four, including 2 kids (4 years old and 2 years old). It was buffet style with all homemade food cooked on premise!! Very reasonable, especially because children under age...

We came up for the 127 yard sale and stayed at cabin 18 A. We got to the door and could smell mold, we open the door and it hit us in the face, old and moldy, furniture felt damp. Screen in the windows falling out, plants growing in the gutters. My husband and I did spend one night and...

We booked a RUSTIC lodge almost a year in advance of our stay for the 127 yard sale. Suffice it to say that we checked in, unloaded our gear, and within a few hours i was offering my firstborn to any hotel that could squeeze us in, then repacked everything by flashlight and left the cabin, without even a thought...

We stayed in section 1 of the campground for 3 nights in the beginning of June. Our site was roomy and very shady, as are most sites in that section of the campground. Full hookups. Bring a water filter with you - the drinking water is orange, and our filter was dark red by the time we left. Bathrooms were...

Visited with friends before a theater matinee at Playhouse in Crossville. The food was quite good! NIce salad fixings, many options for entrees, sides and desserts. I admit I had 2 desserts. Banana pudding was luscious! All for $8! Good deal.

My friends and I stayed in a rustic cabin for two nights for a friend's wedding that took place at the park. We stayed in cabin 13, which was a one bedroom room that had two full size beds- one in the bedroom and one in the living room. There were four of us and we didn't think the full...

Rustic cabins are dated but have character. Wall heaters, plenty of hot water. Well-equipped kitchen, plenty of fresh linens. Fireplace worked but didn't draw well. Beds slept ok. Bathroom was fine. We had two cabins. Both were clean. Lake is beautiful. We rented kayaks and hiked. Cabin was walking distance to state park restaurant, which was packed for lunch and...

The one room cabin has only one double bed which was uncomfortable. The heater did not work. The hide-a-bed sofa is nonfunctional. Only 2 of the 4 burners on the stove worked. The floor had broken tiles. The grab bar was missing from the shower leaving 2 gaping holes which allow water to flow inside the wall. Rustic is a location...

My family visited the park last weekend and couldn't be happier. It's the cleanest, well kept state park I've been to. The grounds were well manicured. The bath house was super clean. There were tons of activities within the campground. The RV sites are a tad closer than I prefer, but other than that, it was wonderful. This is definitely...

“The cabin that sleeps 16 is separated from all the other cabins. The smaller cabins are mixed into the regular campground, which would be good for putting kids in tents and older adults who need beds in the cabins.”
