One of the nicest campgrounds I have stayed at. Workers are always around doing maintenance and improvements. Grounds are very clean, roads are great and nice views of the lake. It is almost a mile from the gate back to one of the camping areas and very quiet (campground is at the end of a dead end road, so no...

This is a beautiful campground with full hookups. The grounds are well kept and most all the sites have a gorgeous view of the lake. A playground for the kids is provided, a sandy beach with areas that you can take a picnic around the lake if you want. Lots of walking area. There is a pool on the grounds...

We needed a quick stop on I-40, Deer Run is off 1-40 by about 4 miles but was worth it. We used our Passport America membership and the cost was $21 for the night. Wish we would have had more time to explore around the park but we left the next morning ahead of strong storms.

Quiet, nicely maintained and beautiful place. The sites are level with full hook ups, and our satellite dish had no trouble finding a good signal (there is cable TV provided which we didn't use but heard was good). The sites nearest the lake are the most spacious and private. Our daughter rented one of the cabins and loved it--it was...

We needed a place to spend the weekend while on the road back to Texas. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! A little ways off the main freeway, but completely worth it. The park is massive with walking trails, a lake, swimming pool and an awesome general store. Spaces are well maintained and easy for big rigs (we're a 38ft fifth...

If you are looking for a quite and peaceful retreat, look no further than here. Calm and down to earth. Fishing is simply a bonus. Biking or hiking is a short step away with plenty of views to appreciate. A campfire at evening resets Memories of youth. I plan to return in the near future.
