They were remodeling some when I was here. My room was good, and the sleep was good. Room was a touch small, particularly the shower and toilet area, and my mini fridge needed a cleaning (look like someone spilled some grape juice in there). Otherwise, 5 stars.

Looks good on the outside but inside was dirty and musty. I couldn’t get any good sleep because people slam doors all night long nobody came to make them be quiet definitely not worth the hundred dollars I had to pay for a single queen room. My curtains wouldn’t even close all the way so the sun can shining and bright and early. And my room had parking spots in front of it so cars came and went all night also.

While the room was clean there was an overpowering smell throughout the hotel and inside the room. It must be the chemicals they are using to clean. If you are bothered by strong smells because of allergies choose another hotel. I coughed all night and woke up with no voice. If staying here request a room on the back to muffle the road noise. A comfortable chair in the rooms would be a nice touch.

We checked in and had to change our room twice. The rooms all smell like smoke though they are nonsmoking. We chose the room that smelled the least. The bathrooms in all three rooms were nasty, dirty bathtubs, urine all over the toilet and floor. Had it not been 2:00 am and all other hotels were booked in the area I would not have stayed. I did show the front desk person the nasty bathrooms. He said he would send housekeeping in the morning. There was no way we were using the bathroom without it being cleaned and disinfected. I asked for cleaner and my Mom and I cleaned it ourselves. Not something anyone should ever have to do. I took pictures. When we checked out I told Sandra at the front desk how disappointed I was bc this was a Wyndham. She apologized and offered a discount. I declined and said the money was not important. I own a family restaurant in Indiana. I understand about complaining for discounts. That is definitely not the case here and I wanted to make that clear.
Both the inside and outside are filthy. I’d fire everyone there and start fresh. Wyndham needs to pull their name from this location.
Oh and the pool…… pitiful , what a waste

The location was perfect, but this hotel failed all around.

1) Upon check in, we were greeted with a sign, no breakfast. This was a major factor in us choosing this hotel - breakfast included with your stay; it was not for the duration of our stay.

2) The sign also suggested, no animals. We did, however, encounter a roach in our room, a dead bird in the pool, and frogs in the pool. Okay, my stay was at the end of April, so the pool wasn’t open, but the water was black on top of the tarp, and it smelled awful. Despite the exterior, there’s no reason for a roach.

3) Our toilet leaked. All on the floor and the toilet bowl was not caulked. It was almost as if the room was out of service, but they allowed us to stay in it because the phone and desk lamp didn’t work either 🤷‍♂️. The handyman was pretty quick to get the bowl operational, but I still observed a water leak upon departure.

4) They were going through major room remodeling, and it showed in our room as we were missing paint where new drywall had been hung. The AC also made the rooms smell really bad…or maybe that was the very old carpet. Pillows were not comfortable and the room seemed really small based on the stuff they are updated the rooms with.

5) The stairwell and parts of the hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. I’m not sure if the stairwell is an approved smoking location, but the smell was thick.

6) Onto the positives: The location was exactly where I needed the hotel to be. Close to waffle house, McAllisters deli, Walmart, Kroger, Mcdonald’s, Dunkin, Chick-fil-a, Burger king, Ridley Sports Complex, etc. Lastly, get a handicapped room if you need space, unfortunately, the normal rooms do not have any room to move around.

Was there in 2021 & had the same experience this time: unfinished rooms, broken lamp, lights loose from wall, hair & stains on the bed linens, stained furniture, damage throughout bldg such as holes in the wall, broken light fixtures, bad signage, etc, dead ice machine on 2nd floor and the world’s nastiest ice machine on 1st floor, bathtub spout hanging off tub wall, toilet had ring of black mold at water level, hot water in shower took about 7 min to get hot, At times staff was missing from desk or asleep at the desk. Front desk said they have women cleaning the rooms so hair will always get onto the linens. When told about the other problems , the man said ok and walked off. Will not try a third time. Wyndham and Columbia can do much better. It was not a good visit.

This place has gone down the drain since the new management took over. I have stayed here for years and this was by far the way worst. The quality has diminished severely. The place was dirty and is being called under renovation. Not being handled well. The customer service is gone. I have stayed here way more than 50 nights. I watched the place change over time and watched as new management took over last year. I saw the pool get fixed and then shut down in a week and looks like it was never reopened and now looks like a swamp when last year it looked brand new. I heard the inspector say it needed some safety additions and then the new manager closed the pool and just let it go. But the price of rooms did not go down. No, now they are the highest rates around. But the quality went down. I will not waste money here again. And the whole breakfast issue? The reason I usually stayed here was because of the great breakfast. Now there is nothing. And when I asked about it I am told they are not allowed. That is a lie. Many places still serve hot breakfast and have all year during the plague. Yes I have been at many hotels this year and have lived in some of them like the Drury and Hilton and embassy suites and best western for months at a time. And still had hot breakfast every day and the pools were all open. It is a choice to be cheap. So now I will make sure this message is posted everywhere I can find to post it. And when I asked about why there was no breakfast in the morning I was told there is no breakfast even though I made sure before I paid the too high price that there would be and was told yes. And then the lady in the morning with the bad attitude; who I remember coming in with the new management last year even though it seems that the entire rest of the staff, and I knew most by name, was gone; told me that it was gone. This was at 715. AM. When I complained, since by now I was entirely too frustrated, she said that the night shift girl said everyone had already eaten by the time she left. I’m sure that must have been much before 7 since I had a long conversation with her about all the changes and she said she had been working way too many hours and needed a day off. Then she reluctantly pulled out a small tray with a few granola bars. When I grabbed two she said, “ No, only one per person”! And then I grabbed 2 more and said I have 3 people to feed. So yeah, like Wow!

We should have done a little more research on this one. Walked inside and there was no one around. I waited. And waited. I had to call the main number just to get someone to the desk to check in. The room was small, which is not a deal killer. The room was dated, peeling paint, damaged and old furniture, clear water damage with peeling wall paper, baseboards are peeling up, and more!
There were really zero amenities beyond a TV, refrigerator, and microwave (which had a large dent in the door). For the price, we could have stayed at many places that appear far better. We might actually check out tomorrow and find a new spot that is better...which would be almost any where.

Stay away.

The hotel is old and outdated. There was no usb outlet in the room. The tub was clogged so when I took a shower, a pool of water gathered. Speaking of pools, it’s closed. No breakfast. The baseboards were stripped in the hallways adding to the overall shabby rundown appearance.
I arranged for a 12pm checkout and was charged a $50 fee that wasn’t mentioned. I was charged $142... disputing excess unauthorized charges with credit card company... a first for me.

The staff members we talked to were very nice. The room was probably the worst hotel room I've ever seen. The AC and fan would randomly shut off abruptly even though we had the fan on. I get the AC turning off, but the fan should've been constant. The fridge was making this awful clicking sound and the light in the bathroom had several large dead bugs inside it. The bathroom was also comically tiny. Finally, the bed. I have never laid on something so uncomfortable. The floor had more cushion and support than the mattress. Also, even though the room had a king-sized bed, they gave us throw pillows. If you put two of these deflated pillows next to each other, they were almost the size of one pillow. I don't think we'll ever stay at a Wyndham again.
