As we drove off the interstate to the KOA we immediately spotted "1880 Town" 1/2 mile from the campground. We decided to get settled with our motor home and check out the little western town the next day. This KOA had a nice pool, clean showers and a cute little restaurant where we went for breakfast. Sites were nice and... More

We broke down with our travel trailer 1 mile from the Midland exit. Betty, the owner, was amazing in helping us find what we needed to get back on the road. We spent two nights, and could not ask for a better host. Thank you for everything!

Absolutely love this KOA. In most campsites, you pitch tent on some hard ground. Not here. Super soft grass everywhere. The bath house is centrally located. Very clean and roomy. The breakfast menu was outstanding. Wide range of choices with super low prices. Great food and great service. I will definitely return to this KOA whenever I am in the... More

Stayed here both on way out and way back from Glacier NP. Staff was very good, and thorough. The sites were level and close to the dog park, as we had 2 dogs. Internet actually worked in the RV! Cable TV worked great. Just a simple place where all worked as it should.

We stayed here on our 2nd to last night on our way home from rapid city. We were able to get their last camping cabin with air for the night. It was so cute and we enjoyed the air conditioning very much seeing how our truck camper doesn't have air and it was 102 degrees that day. The pool was... More

We stayed in a small cabin and it was wonderful. The staff was wonderful, so kind, and helpful. After a long day of travel, we just wanted to sleep. The playground and pool were very inviting, though. When we left In the morning, we were surprised by how many other campers there were. It was so quiet! Great place!

Terrible. Drove past the STOP sign to find a bathroom for my son by the pool. The man in the yellow shirt came after us in his golf cart & proceeded to "correct" us. His attitude reeked of hostility & not among of apology would do, even though we said we'd like to rent a cabin. We left.

This was a very clean, well maintained KOA! The staff was very nice and the small café was very good and reasonably priced. The laundry area was clean and my son and I even played UNO while we waited for our laundry to be done.

We stayed here on our trip west to Rapid City and had such a good stay we opted to stay two nights when we went east. A very nice and clean facility. Nice dog run. Across from 1880 Village. Highly recommend.

Considering you're out in the South Dakota boonies, this KOA is a good stop for a few nights. We stayed here for 3 nights. Good grassy areas for the pets, great breakfast that they serve every morning. They also serve other items for lunch and dinner but we didn't try them out. All the RV sites are long pull throughs with free cable TV and Wi-Fi. Don't feel like cooking? During the summer months enjoy dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. There's a fenced-in area where your dogs can run loose and exercise. While en route to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park or Devils Tower, this campground is the best stop for exploring a re-created 1880s town before visiting the Badlands and the famous Wall Drug Store. You'll see plenty of wildlife. Birders can look for their favorite feathered friends, along with deer, coyotes and more.
