Worst place I’ve ever stayed! We paid for an executive cabin. It came with NO spoons, holes in the screens, hornet nests on the deck, ONLY towels per cabin. We called MANY times prior to our stay to confirm things. I’m ok with things being dated or worn down but the upkeep was pathetic. We couldn’t enjoy the weather because of the giant holes in the screens. Some windows didn’t even have shades. Our kids couldn’t even nap due to the sunlight. There was NO help from the front desk! This isn’t work $25 a night for the hassles and major problems. Many we fixed ourselves but some we could not. This was absolutely NOT a vacation. We worked our butts off every day to solve problems cuz the admin would not. Not sure who everybody else saw that was so “nice & friendly,” everyone staff member we encountered was burnt out and pissed off. And we came during the OFF season. Ridiculous. Seriously ridiculous for such a big family brand

We camped at Palmer Gulch for the Buffalo Roundup weekend. Wow, what a disappointment. Between uneven pads, no WIFI service and ALL the amenities being closed, we will not be back. The campground was completely full all weekend but all the "contracted" services were shut down, even the bar and restaurant. We planned to do a trail ride on horseback, SHUT DOWN. The WIFI is totally pathetic. My wife and I both work from our RV, and that was completely not possible. They advertise all these amenities, but totally not true!! For as expensive it is to camp here, we expected more!!

Great to be so close to Mount Rushmore and Custer state Park. Very friendly, helpful front desk. Check in was super easy. Breakfast was included which was nice. They had entertainment the two nights we were there We stayed in a motel type triplex at the back if the property. It had a small kitchenette. I’d return!

We made reservations 6 months out and was placed in a small totally uneven spot. We paid for sweage but we couldn't use it. The flow was going up hill... waste of money. There internet is non existent, u are lucky if ur in an area that picks it up, we were not lucky.. I don't mind the hundreds of kids running around however there is very little adult supervision, almost hit kid on bike, another running into roadway and we saw kid fall off of golf cart holding on to back standing up when the teen driver hit bump! The rodeo was fun. Won't be coming back to this KOA.

This is the place to stay with your RV when visiting Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Custer and Keystone. Amenities include a swimming pool, Putt-Putt, dog park and stables. Lots are fairly tight and can get muddy after rain or snow. We were there pre-vaccine so the shops and restaurants were closed. Our visit was enjoyable and you can't beat the location.
