We arrived without reservations and were lucky to get the Dakota cabin for 3 nights. We got a price reduction as the fireplace was not working. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was nice to have. There was no stove, only a microwave and electric frying pan, fridge, coffee maker, and toaster, but it was... More

Loved our stay here. Darien (I think that was her name) was very helpful. We had a reservation mix-up at another location and we walked in off the street here. She got us a cabin and basically saved our vacation. It's perfectly situated in the Black Hills so you're within striking distance of everything. The only drawback is you're close... More

We stayed a week and thought it a good place to stay. The cabins were clean and beds were comfortable. We used the hot tub almost every night. No problems with that. The owners are very nice. My only concern was that they were not around much. The office is supposed to open at 9 in the morning, and more... More

For the 11th consecutive year we spent 10 days with Jan & Steve at Pine Rest Cabins just south of Hill City on Highway 385. We've learned a thing or two while attending the Sturgis Rally 31 consecutive years. A clean, comfortable, well stocked "Rally Home" is a must. Our cabin has a full kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, all... More

We didnt spend too much time there because of sight seeing. But the hosts were great and we did enjoy the hot tub. It was nice to grill out and have supper every nite. The accomodations fit our 5 adult family well.

Pine Rest is clean and low key...in a good way. Our one TV was seldom used but had lots of channels to choose from. The kitchenette is sufficient for cooking simple electric skillet meals and fixing sandwiches. Part of vacationing is not having to cook every meal. The bunk beds were sturdy and the kids loved them. The queen bed... More

The cabin was fine for what we needed it for. Had we been staying longer and were going to be in the cabin more I would of wanted something bigger. But over all it was a good place to stay. No complaints. I was worried about the no air conditioners but that was not a problem at all.
