We are from Minnesota and when we registered the owners checked us in. They were really friendly and knowledgeable, The cabin was beautifully maintained. We could not have imagined staying anywhere else. It was close to everything that one would want to see in South Dakota. We are already planning our return trip. I cannot say enough how great it...

A group of friends has been going to High Country Guest Ranch every year for a long weekend get together since 2007. We rent one of the vacation cabins and utilize their horse corrals, as we bring horses to for trail riding at Custer National Park, Deerfield Lake and Willow Creek. It is a great location with several trail riding...

We stayed at High Country Guest Ranch in a camping cabin - very nice even if beds were a little firm. We actually got to enjoy the concert with Brule' two nights as we could hear them from our cabin and the next night we we paid and got to see them up close and personal. They were the reason...

We enjoyed the spaciousness of the camper cabins for our families and the surrounding outdoor area. We did not know there is an outdoor performance by Brul'e 5 nights a week right behind our camper cabins. The show is well done but you will hear clearly the show from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.. This should have been included in...

Remember this is a ranch and not the penthouse at the ritz. We stayed in the McGinnis this past month and while there were some issues we still had a lovely time. The cabin is larger than it appears in the pictures and there was plenty of room for a large group. The wrap around porch was wonderful and the large...

First let me say the good: the room was clean, the scenery was spectacular and the evening show was well done. The forestry service no longer allow this ranch to have rides into the Black Hills and therefore they only do 45 minute rides around the property. Apparently this was due to negligence of the previous owners and is to...
