We were driving a motor home and had a good, level pull through spot. The pool was out of commission while we were there. The store is very nice and offers a lot for a campground store, which was great. The people who run the campground were very nice and expertly answered some of our general questions about how to...

I really enjoyed staying here. The staff is so friendly and the campground has a really cool setup. And the showers are the best part! They look like real bathrooms and not the usual campground bathrooms that you see. We stayed in a tent and the scenery was perfect. Would love to go back here when seeing the black hills.

We have been camping in the Black Hills for the past 25 years or so and we finally discovered Horse Thief Campground. The bad part is we stayed at the campground the weekend they were closing for the season. We, and two other couples stayed Friday through Sunday and had a great time. The campground was beautiful and located close...

We booked this campground not knowing much about it and it was a wonderful surprise. The owners take great pride in keeping up this campground. They were pleasant on the phone when I called twice and talked to both the husband and wife. When we arrived they were very nice and accommodating with finding the right spot we liked. The...

We chose this camp ground because we had only a short time in the Black Hills and wanted to see as much as we could. This campground is very close to Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore and Custer Park. The park is very quiet and quite spread out. The bathrooms were clean and the staff very helpful. Hope to one day...

Super nice owners! Very Helpful and accommodating! Great location for visiting Rushmore and Crazy Horse! Full hookups, clean bathrooms. Showers were small but fine! Great place! Met very nice people there.

We stayed at the Horse Thief Campground in a tent for two nights. We had 5 people and two tents and plenty of room. There are many RVs here and they seemed to be crowded, so we weren't too excited at first, but as it turned out we were on a large flat piece of land directly across from the...

We just spent a week here. If you go, request lot 165. It has the best view! Our 5th wheel is 38 ft long and fit just fine. The best part about this place besides the seclusion is that you are right in the middle of everything. Needles highway is 6 miles south, my Rushmore is close as well. The...

We met friends for a week stay at the campground. Very good location to visit Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial and various tourist attractions. It was rather isolated, quite a winding road to the location. We were expecting the grounds to have a bit more acreage. Campsites were close together. Since there were four of us with two campers, our...

We enjoyed our stay here. When we got there, my wife wasn't thrilled with the isolated campsite I had picked out. It was too far away from the bathroom. The owner kindly gave us another spot closer, even though it was in a different category, and we paid the same rate. They were friendly and helpful.
