We spent two night with Kim and her husband and were treated like close family. We stayed with another couple in Laura's loft. Our private sitting room let us kick up our feet and relive the days adventure. We all agreed it would be a wonderful place to spend a rainy afternoon with a good book. Guest should be aware...

As I've thought about our wonderful stay at Heritage House, I cannot help but focus on the name that the owners chose for their lovely bed and breakfast... Heritage House. While DeSmet is known for its connection to Laura Ingalls Wilder, there is so much more to DeSmet and this building than their connection to her and the Ingalls family....

I can't imagine a more charming or convenient place to stay when in De Smet. Our gracious hosts saw to every need. Breakfast was good. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. I have absolutely no complaints and would stay here again without hesitation.

My first thought after waking up in the "Laura's Loft" room this morning is that I didn't want to leave. This is THE place to stay if you're in the area on the Little House trail. It was like having our own little apartment. I was a bit hesitant as I'm a city girl, but this was one of the...

Beautiful B&B and great hospitality from Kim and her husband. Laura's Loft was very comfortable and nicely decorated. It was an oasis after our busy day visiting the Ingalls homestead. We really enjoyed our visit to De Smet and would definitely stay at the Heritage House again.

We were on a Little House trip and covered 3 states. This was one of the nicest places we stayed. Delicious breakfast in the morning. We stayed in the Laura Loft. Queen bed in one room, a double in another which also had a loft with a twin bed, plus a living room that could be closed off from all...

A wonderfully comfortable and friendly atmosphere in the middle of DeSmet, SD! On a family pilgrimage to one of the Laura Ingalls Wilder homesteads, we were lucky to find the Heritage House B & B to relax and stay overnight. The Laura's Loft room was perfect for our family's respite. The furnishings were immaculate and the breakfast, tasty and filling,...

Beautiful B&B inside an old bank in De Smet. Our room was quiet, quaint, and comfortable with high ceilings. The innkeepers were extremely nice and we loved chatting with them during breakfast. Would definitely return!

Kim and her husband have done a fabulous job restoring this beautiful old bank building as a delightful bed & breakfast. The family suite upstairs was great for our family of 5, and Kim vooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning. Everything was perfectly clean, neat, and convenient. This is the place to stay if you're visiting DeSmet!
