We had an amazing two night stay at this property. The price was right and the location (while a bit further out from Shipyard Park than we wanted to stay) was good because it was far enough out that we weren't paying big bucks for a mediocre stay. The room was clean and large. Everything worked properly and they even have a coffee/tea/cocoa station by the check in desk to help yourself (lifesaver for a tired mom!).

I ended up coming down with something (thank you to my smallest child for germ-sharing) while we were here and I felt comfortable enough with the cleanliness that I laid on the bathroom floor for a few hours and managed to sleep for 14 hours in the bed without being disturbed. I'm bummed I missed out on some of our trip, but the hotel had enough comforts to make my illness bearable.

The free breakfast is amazing and has lots of options. We would definitely stay again--I just hope next time I'm healthy and can enjoy our baseball tournament "vacation" a little more. But glad we stayed here, because it was the next best thing to being at home.

Veer nice stay. Easy checkin. Modern appointments. Great rates for suites. Nice pool and a large exercise room. Lots of cardio machines and one weight machine. Bathrooms have one sink in the same room as the tub and toilet. Water was hot, then cold, then hot again in the shower. AC worked REALLY well. Internet worked really well. TV service was down. Room included a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Our group had many rooms. All had fold out couches plus the two beds. Beds were comfortable. The public spaces seemed like they had already seen hard use. Breakfast was really good and included, two waffle makers, eggs, potatoes, and bacon, plus grits. Two kinds of fresh fruit and the standard sweet rolls and cereal. Staff kept things full even with heavy traffic. Our room door was ajar when we arrived and there were crackers on the floor in several places.

I have stayed here for one or two nights a month for about a year & would recommend it. Verna at the front desk is always professional & inviting & makes me feel welcome as soon as i arrive. Nothing is too much trouble if i have a request, regardless of the time of day.

In lieu of Covid-19, I checked in & did a thorough cleaning of the room. The front desk clerks, Verna, Carmella & Jaylan were nice. However, the manager, Tanya Curtis is rude! She made a comment to my daughter when I wasn't present that she could've said to me. Furthermore, her comment was unnecessary. The room that I booked allowed six people. I had five. She mentioned not allowing parties in "her hotel" because "she don't play that!" I had to go in & speak with her about it. No apology was offered! Professionalism & customer service are major to me. It doesn't matter what race we both are. Remain professional. Prior to all of this, I complimented her when I first saw her & she couldn't even say thank you. One of the employees had to ask her if she heard me. She replied, "thank you." This tells me that she heard me the first time. While checking out, I had to say good morning twice before she responded. She's not a nice person. I've worked in customer service all of my adult life. It's major to me! She needs further training in this area. Also, upon checking in, I booked with hotels.com. They only saw reservations for one room when I had two. They never asked if it was booked under another name. Tanya referenced that I needed to call hotels.com to straighten things out. She recapped & said she'd fix it on her end. Later that night, 10:08pm, I received a call from them regarding the same room! Other than this, our stay was fine.

I stayed here for 6 nights and could not have asked for better staff members. The hotel is new and fresh looking. The room was nice. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, this stay was during the pandemic and the pool was closed and breakfast was very limited. There is a mini market on site for all your snack and necessary needs. It was my first time in the area. I was impressed and will return!

My wife and I were in town for the WTA tournament and had a two night reservation. We arrived at the hotel at 8:45 pm, only to be told the hotel was short-staffed and the room would not be ready for another 45 minutes, the lobby was filled with many other guests waiting for their rooms also. We were offered the option to cancel if we wished, After checking with nearby hotels, we cancelled the reservation and stayed somewhere else. We were told we'd receive an email with the cancellation, but I had to go to the front desk in the morning to get a print out of the cancellation.

Hotel was very clean, almost looked like it had a recent renovation. Front desk was polite and accommodating. Made reservation online because it had all the extras I liked. Free gourmet breakfast, exercise room, indoor pool. However no food, no exercise - due to covid-19. Wished it was mentioned when I made reservations. Minor irritations like ice machine on my floor didn't work. TV was missing remote. Shower water didn't get hot enough.

Nice but several issues. The room was really nice except for: had to get the room card reset every day, had to ask for room towels, no pool towels for the pool, but the worst was the bathroom shower. It was a disabled room so it had a regular shower head and a handheld. The handheld would always be on and the shower head did not work but half time. Out of a family of 5, 3 were forced to take a bath due to regular shower head not working. The faucets did not match and the handheld would not stay in the spot it was supposed to. Water everywhere ! No trash bags to replace used ones. Will not stay again for our next trip to Charleston.

The check in woman was more interested in watching TV with her buddy than greeting guests. At check out another woman (said her name is Mika) refused ANY amount of time for a late checkout, which we really needed. She then refused to provide a checkout sheet, and lied that there were no Manager's cards. We found some. Breakfast was spartan. We had to buy at IHOP and Dunkin every day. On Sunday the desk/breakfast person totally disappeared for 30 minutes while the food was empty and then showed up at 9:30 and closed up without a word. I left Sales Manager John Bizzak a text upon leaving, and then followed up via e-mail. No response. So we're out three breakfasts for a whole family, and had a bad experience.

On August 18 I booked two rooms. The first room had mold around the shower. The second room (420) had some type of water leak, and carpet was soaked. It had to of been an issue for a while as the rooms stunk of mildew. They changed our room (408) , but it was never made up from the prior guest. We finally got a third room, (301) and the sinks would not drain. The one elevator was out of commission. The second one would not work going down from the fourth floor. It took us an hour and a half before we finally got a room that was usable. The hotel is in great need of maintenance and cleanliness. Of course, their response on the Choice Hotels site was simply that they would use my review for improvement. Hardly acceptable given what we had to go through to finally secure a room. That does not make up for a most miserable stay. There are so many hotels in this area, and I strongly suggest you book one of those .
