My wife went on line and booked us a room for our anniversary weekend. When we arrived I was a little nervous but we checked in and paid money. They gave us keys and we went to room. Upon opening door there was a whole family of roach bugs having a party. They were everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. I went back down and they offered another room. It was nasty. Stained carpet, smelled like an outhouse, dirty. You name it. I went back down and asked for a refund. It's a no refund policy if booked on line. So here we're Friday night no place to stay. No refund of money and stressed beyond belief. I would not let my dog stay there. And your a fool if you do!!!!!!
We paid over 2200. dollars to stay in Unit 1601-1 and 1601-2 with no air for two days. Management would not take anything off of our stay or move up to another room.. they made the excuse that we kept the doors open and that’s why the air wouldn’t work. I’ve stay here several times and will never stay again. Shelly
We arrived on August 5th. My daughters shared the bedroom with 2 doubles. Both woke up with bites all down their legs. First thought was maybe sand fleas, as they were down walking the beach at night. Next morning more bites. Started to get a little concerned so we washed and dried their bedding. 3rd morning more bites. We have pictures time stamped of all 3 morning. Finally took daughter down to front office. The girl acted like It was nothing. Sent maintenance up, they couldn’t see anything. We were told they were calling GM and would get back with us. We went to pool and waited. 3 hours and we heard nothing. We had to call back to front desk. Same girl, same non chalant attitude. No call was ever made to GM. Now I understand even the nicest places can get bedbugs but you need to act and do something. I pressed the issue, these bites were coming from somewhere! She did finally reach out to GM who offered a different condo. Never even offered to help us move or wash any of our daughters clothes. We had to pack up and move ourselves. Next morning, NO new bug bites! Not one bite the rest of the trip. Now on to the condo they moved us too. Wow, we paid over $2,600 for our week at Grand Atlantic. This second condo was horrible. Cigarettes burns on furniture. Kitchen was filthy, food on floor and on wall by stove. Couch was broken down, literally, you sank right down. Sofa bed springs are just gone so half of bed collapsed. I have pictures. We expect better for this kind of money. You have to update your units. I have never posted a bad review but this was just bad. Stay away! Too many nice places to stay in Myrtle Beach.…
This was our first time at this hotel as we used to always stay at the Bluewater right next-door. The room was beautiful and extremely clean, the staff were excellent and very accommodating. I do agree that the parking garage which is very nice to have on site is a little difficult to maneuver! But after a day or so you get used to it quickly. I like the fact that you need card access to gain entrance to the hotel . We have been traveling to Myrtle Beach for almost 30 years and the area of this hotel is in a very good area and never felt unsafe at all as previously posted by some people. I would definitely recommend staying at this property.
I won’t bore you with how disappointed I was walking into this 2 bedroom oceanfront. I’ll let the photos speak for me. Rude people blocking the one way entrance into the garage, my room looked like the junk man made a stop to my room to drop off furniture he found on the street. The chairs were so dirty that I had to cover them with bedsheets. The walls were dirty, my husband found a bag of opened chips on top of the fridge. Before booking here, look at the photos and see what $1700.00 will get you.
