This hotel is okay. It’s in the calmer area of Myrtle Beach. The room was really nice. The view was amazing. Cleanliness was the biggest issue. My friends discovered a dead fly on their bed upon check in. The sheets didn’t feel clean so they called the lobby, and clean sheets were sent up shortly. When they pulled the sheets off, they discovered the mattress in the master bedroom was horribly stained. Later that evening, one of my friends discovered a lot of black mold under the kitchen sink. Luckily it didn’t aggravate my allergies. We had intended to cook in the room some, but after the mold discovered in the kitchen, we weren’t comfortable doing it. While walking to the elevators, we noticed mold growing on curtains in several other rooms. The day before we checked out, we discovered mold on the curtains in our room too. The pool area was nice and cl, but compared to where I usually stay, the pool area was very underwhelming. We were also to have 3 free putt putt coupons. They didn’t want to give them to us. They wanted us to redeem a code that gives us 1 free coupon and the rest were discounted. However they did give us the 3 free putt putt coupons. Overall the staff was friendly and welcoming. After paying almost $800 for 3 nights, I’d expect earlier than a 4pm check in time. Most hotels will check you in early but not this one.

This hotel is disgusting. This hotel is now owned by VACASA. The VACASA deep cleaning pledge? what a joke. The room was filthy at best. We had to go buy a broom and dust pan to get the one inch of sand out of the room. There was coffee on the counters, floors, and balcony. There was pink mildew on the bathroom floor. The shelves were broken. There are numerous dents, holes, scrapes, peeling paint, etc. The laundry closet in our room had so much disgusting dust built up who would want to use the facilities? We have visited Myrtle Beach at least 16 times over the last 20 years. We have driven by the hotel on numerous occasions and thought it would be a nice place. Boy were we wrong. We saw the workers wiping down the parking garage walls so visitors would think it was a clean hotel. I never saw anyone clean the hot tubs or pools. They swept them, but didn't clean. There was what appeared to be mold on the walls of the lazy river. I'm appalled that such a large company cares so little. I would look for another hotel.

I had read a couple negative reviews before booking but decided to give it a try because sometimes peoples's expectations can be a little above the top. Guess i should of listened to the reviews. This condo needs major renovation and cleaning and painting. Our room (503) looked presentable at first then when you look closer the corners of the bathroom floor were filthy. There is a louvered door on the closet that holds the air conditioner/ furnace. I dont know when it was dusted last. Right outside is the parking garage and you could hear squealing tires at all hours along with slamming doors. The pool looked nice but it was always so full of people we never went in. Balcony was nice, walk to the beach was good but the hotel itself is just old and getting run down. Employees were all friendly and helpful. Dont plan on ever staying here again though.

My family spent a week at this hotel everything was great until there was a incident at the pool with some kids (not mine). Two kids where fighting in the pool to where the one child was getting hurt, could have drowned. THE STAFF DID NOTHING. The “security” was a joke instead of handling the situation himself and some maintenance men came and was harassing my husband and another man that was trying to help. We were not thanked for helping this little boy. And the next day as i talked to a “manager” we wanted to hear nothing about. The employees handled this so poorly. i hope the little boy is ok. There are many hotels on this beach. Don’t bring your family here!!!!!!!!

I booked directly with Camelot on Aug 6 2021. I unfortunately had to cancel my trip Aug 10 2021. They would only give me a future credit because it wasn't inside a 30 day cancellation. Huh?! I just booked the hotel 4 DAYS ago! This may be something that others are used to but I want to make sure OTHERS are AWARE of their policy before you BOOK with them. BE AWARE that if you make a reservation with them shorter than a 30 day window, you WILL NOT get a refund; only a CREDIT. I wish someone had warned me. :-(
