This was our first time staying at Lakewood. I love the location being right at the beach. It was just a short walk from our campsite. The bathhouse was pretty clean. There was one evening it seemed to take the water a little longer to heat up but was fine the other nights we used it. They have an indoor...

We have camped at Lakewood for at least 30 years but I think we will be looking at somewhere else for future visits to the coast. The golf carts are out of control. It starting to look like Ocean Lakes next door. We used to be able to let our kids ride their bikes around when they got old enough...

We come to Lakewood campground every year for our summer vacation. We rent one of the villas they have inside the property. I would also recommend renting a golf cart while you are there. It has a wonderful beach, an arcade for the kids on rainy days and they have an entire water park with slides for all ages!!! We...

My family & I have stayed here several times before & we are surprised by all the new rules put into place. The biggest aggravation is the pool. There is not enough seats to allow a third of the guests a place to sit. You have to wait in line an hour before the pool opens and then try to...

The facilities are in great shape and clean. We were on the north end of the complex away from the water park, which is ideal for those who want less golf cart traffic and avoid the teens cruising in carts each evening. The campsites are well maintained. WiFi is only so-so, but at least it was useable. The management makes...

Arrived 1 day early and they were very accommodating. Let me go in and select a spot if it was available. Everyone was friendly and the kids had a blast at the water park / pool. Beaches were well kept, in fact the whole park was. The showers and bathrooms were soo clean. : ) Only thing I can knock...

We have stayed at other campgrounds nearby, and by far Lakewood has been the best so far! There are plenty of activities for the kids - i.e. pool, slides, water park, lazy river, etc, as well as volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, boccie ball, and shuffleboards for the "older" kids - all of which comes with paid entry to grounds. There is...

We have stayed at Lakewood many times in their Villa's. But this year we decided to give camping at the beach a try. So glad we made this decision. I was so impressed by this campground. Everything you could need without any problems, even cable TV (not that we had much time for that). Lots to do from bike riding...
