I loved Mrs. Judy and Stevie at the Santa Maria Restaurant. That is the only reason why this place was ok because they were great! However, the room is old but clean. The air conditioner is very loud when it comes on. They need a designer to renovate because the room seems like you are back in the 1950s.

We stayed in St. John's Inn which is managed by Caravell and across the street from the main resort. We new we wouldn't have a view of the beach across the street, but our balcony overlooked the ventilation for the restaurant. My husband and I like to sit on the balcony and have morning coffee, so this was a downer...

I had a nice trip, quick trip!, to Myrtle and St. John's was a pleasant stay for me. The property in general is a little dated, but the room I stayed in was a pleasant surprise. It had been updated with tile floors resembling hardwoods - very popular now. The buffet for breakfast was great and Stevie couldn't have been...

My husband and I stayed here in a room advertised on HomeAway. The building and rooms are outdated but the room we had was clean. We found the location of the inn very close to the beach and other attractions we had planned. The pool was nice, but there was never any management around that we saw. Other guests were...

First the pros: I was able to book a room for 7 nights the day before arrival. Awesome pool. Very close beach access. Staying at the Inn also included all the amenities of all Caravelle hotels. Cons: arrived the night before the reservation around 10 pm because we decided to push through the long drive from where we are. When...

I made reservations here because we were taking a vacation on a budget. I learned my lesson and will never stay here again. The showers barely had any water coming out, there was a bug in my loofah one morning, then another in the floor the last day we were there. The carpets were absolutely disgusting and the overall feeling...

We booked at the Caravelle and were put in the St Johns inn. We were put in a room wayyyyyyy at the back of the building down a very dark hall way. It smelled like beer and cigerettes . No elevator to get to the second floor so we had to lug our bags up a huge ramp. Just bad...

The hotel is average, room was clean and the pool is heated and nice. This is for the person who don't mind just a room and a pool nothing fancy. You can walk to the Caravelle hotel for the other pools and your one block off the beach access.

I just recently had my stay at the so called "Caravelle" resort. I must admit that I have never been so disappointed. As I booked my room online, I watched videos and reviewed pics. Nothing that is portrayed online was what I received when I arrived. I understood that I was in a non ocean front room, but I did...
