A treasure lost, not everyrone wants high rises with $400.00 per nite rooms. The owner Steve Chapman ran it into the ground!! It was no five star but was a blast, great folks great location. He put all his money into the Island Vista.

They are tearing down the remains of driftwood never stayed there, but this is for those looking for a number. Apparently the hurricane had done significant damage according to locals. I don't know if they plan to rebuild?

We had stayed at this hotel every year for over a decade. The beach access is outstanding and they offer two outdoor pools with grills, but the good ends there. Rooms are damp and have a generally moldy/damp smell to them. Bathtub and toilet are outdated and stained. Room service staff is occasionally very rude and does not speak much...

Best deal we could find thru groupon. Great view of the beach. Not far from lots of things to do and attractions. The room itself was something different. One the 3rd day there we had absolutely no hot water in our room. There were water stains on the ceiling and the finish on the bathtub was peeling. Clean enough for...

The outside steps are dangerous to walk on. Wild parties all over the motel. Not sufficient towels for a group of 4 people. On one bed there was water running down through the ceiling onto the bed and the floor beside the AC unit in our room was dripping water and the floor was spongy. No breakfast....not even donuts...only coffee...

This is the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at! Rundown, smelly, disgusting and the most rude staff! The carpet was awful and I never once took my shoes off and walked on it! The ceiling looked like it was about to cave in. I had to literally duck under the shower head to take a shower. I asked the...

My boyfriend and I decided to come down a night early and couldn't get a room at the hotel we were booked for the following day! The wonderful people at the Landrum welcome center called hotels for us until finding Driftwood! We made reservations for 1 NIGHT...we were not told on the phone that a one night stay was automatically...

There is a lot to say about this place. The lady at check in at 2am didn't even check my id, thanks that makes me feel real safe. It took my husband 30 minutes to find a parking spot and security guard finally told him where to park. He was super nice, his name was nick, I believe. We finally...

Overall it was a great stay. Had 2 rooms and they were a joining. Really liked that. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and thoughtful. The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom had a sliding door instead of a regular door.
