A mixed review. First, the front staff is friendly, but if you have a problem they can't help. We first arrived it was dark. The spot they crammed us in was tight. They moved us around to a spot that was a pull through and much bigger. We couldn't see much. It just didn't feel right. At 1 in the...

We checked in on March 6th and left on March 20th. We stayed in the B section from the 6th-16th. Really a nice site. We were surprised by the quietness of the campground. You can hear some traffic from the main road and planes overhead. But it didn't bother us at all. At our site there is some bright lights...

We camped two nights and were very pleased with the campground. Nice office staff, good sized spot, trash pickup twice a day, clean bathroom, hot showers, laundry available, well kept, quiet. Very close to Charleston attractions.

Beware of PERMANENT campers! We had an end site, I think they called it a deluxe. We did have a patio with a swing and a fire pit. Too bad we couldn't sit outside and enjoy it! The permanent campers across from us were constantly in a domestic dispute. Yelling, throwing things, the man even kicked the screen door so...

This was our second visit to this KOA.We liked our deluxe site. The first night every little noise and big noise kept us awake, but we got used to it.We were there 8 nights.People who complain about the planes....Joint Base Charleston is very close by and the cargo planes are constant and also occasionally fighter jets passing through. My advice is to be...

This was a nice campground and inexpensive. I ended up here after a long excursion of trying to find one of the campgrounds in a national park. (I'll review them too). It was clean even though it was quite busy already and quiet for the amount of people which was really a nice surprise. The only think I would ask...

We stayed a week and it was Very noise all hours with traffic noise, planes, trains, sirens and trash trucks. Permanent residence spilled over from the trailer park next door. Only one bathhouse for the campground and no fire rings for safe camp fires.

Though it's a 45 minute trip to the beach, this place is outstanding! Very helpful staff, clean sites and plenty of room. The only tricky part is getting in off the main road "not KOAs fault" it's a four lane mini highway and people run it like a speedway. You have to act quickly or you will sit waiting to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You'll know this campground is special the minute you drive through the entrance. Azaleas, oaks and loblolly pines give a signature touch to its Lowcountry charm. Nearby, the historic Magnolia Plantation and Middleton Place feature beautiful gardens. Beat the summer heat at Whirlin' Waters Adventure Waterpark (located within North Charleston Wannamaker County Park). Attractions abound in lovely Charleston, where horse-drawn carriages clip-clop along the historic harbor. Tour Fort Sumter National Monument, where the Civil War began, and the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. Bring a group - the campground has a great recreation building with a full kitchen and meeting facilities. An exciting addition to this KOA is the family lodge accommodation - a fun home-away-from-home that sleeps up to eight people. Pool: March 15 - October 15. Max pull thru: 70 feet.
