It's rare when a place with this much "history and charm" delivers what is promised, but Kathryn and Mansfield did just that! Close to town but a step back in time. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable (Man room) and we will be back again next year. Enjoy!

My wife and I recently spent three nights at Mansfield Plantation. More than just a bed and breakfast, it allows you step back to another time and experience a piece of history. Kathryn warmly greeted us and showed us to our room, the Simons room, located in the former kitchen house next to the main building. She is very knowledgeable...

We only stayed the one night in the Hays room. The drive into the plantation is great and Kathryn was a terrific host. My wife and daughter went cycling around the property which was fun.We also had champagne and beer on the swings hanging from the oak trees,it was so relaxing. The river views with fish jumping and the Spanish...

Mansfield's long, tree lined road invited us into an old world which offered intoxicating beauty that played our senses during our stay. Mansfield is overwhelmingly breathtaking in the scenery of the surroundings, the architecture of the buildings and the beautifully done interior decor of the room in which we stayed. We had a wonderful time and fulfilled life-long a dream...

My boyfriend and I booked a one night stay at the Mansfield Plantation and we absolutely loved it. From driving up the 2 mile dirt road lined with live oaks, to the quaint room in the old kitchen, we loved every minute of our stay. Kathryn (the innkeeper) was very accommodating and hospitable, and Friendly Frankie (the groundskeeper) was also...

My husband and I chose the Mansfield Plantation bed and breakfast for our anniversary trip. What a delight! From it's 1.7 mile driveway lined with magnificent oak trees draped in Spanish moss, to the antebellum slave village leading up to the manor house this former rice plantation is like stepping into living history. Beautifully preserved Mansfield Plantation offers guest rooms...

Mansfield is a beautiful B&B set in an old rice plantation. The rice paddies, old trees and historic buildings make for a very peaceful scene. It's not unusual to see deer, there are lots of ducks and other birds and an alligator can occasionally be heard splashing about. My room was clean but smelled musty. The bed gave me a...

Thank you for taking the time to review Mansfield Plantation. We are so sorry to hear that we didn't meet your expectations this time around. Rest assured that breakfast is made fresh daily, and always from scratch. We use fresh vegetables, fresh eggs, and even mix up fresh batter each morning when pancakes or waffles are on the menu. Mansfield is a Bed and Breakfast that is the perfect retreat from the hectic pace of the world around us. Porch swings hanging from the trees overlooking the former rice paddies welcome the weary, and bikes available for all guests allow you to visit the restored slave quarters and chapel which pay homage to the labor and sacrifices to those...

Everything from exquisite, clean and comfortable lodging to five-star breakfasts was more than I had anticipated. We intended to have a working vacation and gave that up right after breakfast on our first day, instead opting to take a lazy two-hour nap in a hammock beneath the sweeping, stately oaks, dripping with Spanish Moss, listening to the birds, cicadas and...

We stayed for 3 nights beginning of July and where almost the only guest at the BnB. It´s true that the place is a bit isolated and you can´t do much from here without using the car, which for us is always a downside. However, they had bikes that we as guests could use as much as we wanted to...
