I went to a convention for the weekend. The only draw back I had was parking... It was tight and small for the price to park. But at the same turn of coin would say it was beneficial to feel like my car was watched.

I've now stayed at the Hampton Inn Downtown Historic District on four separate occasions, all for Columbia's various anime/fan conventions since I really don't travel to Columbia for anything else. The most recent convention was NashiCon which happened this past weekend. Our room this time was 206, with two queen beds. Oddly, this room was quite a bit smaller than...

This Hampton Inn is in almost every way your "Hampton Inn average" - not great, not bad. Notably, The front desk people were unusually friendly and helpful. The bad news about my stay at this hotel came when i saw the bill. The room rates are fairly high but I knew this from the start, and that was sort of...

Great stay overall. Pillows go flat even when I stacked all four. Location is very convenient. You can walk to a number of casual and nicer restaurants. Easy entrance and exit. I would stay at this location again. again.

The location was perfect, we used the free trolley across the street at the visitor center and it took us everywhere we needed to go. Easy parking for the car we didn't use. Walked to Charleston Museum and Aiken-Rhett House. It was just a block to many restaurants, some upscale and some quicker and delicious!Small grocery, liquor store nearby. Very...

We have stayed here several times. We have a son at USC so I imagine we will be back plenty of times. We love the convenience of all the many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is impeccably kept and the staff cannot be beat.
