The location of this property is great. It is close to everything we wanted to visit. Check in process is smooth. There are about 4 to 5 parking space in front of the inn for us to park during the check in process. We chose self parking which is about 3 block away. It costs $20+taxes but it is much cheaper than using public garage overnight. The lot is open so can be in and out as long as displaying the parking ticket from the hotel. The room is more spacious than I expected. Complimentary wine and cheese at 5 pm is a plus. We were able to enjoy the wine sitting outside of garden before heading out for dinner. Coffee/Tea is available in the lobby entire day. Simple continental breakfast is good enough for us. But i can imagine that it maybe crowed during busy season. Most importantly every staffs I encountered during my stay are all super friendly. Definitely recommend this inn to all my friends.

Room was lovely, though the crocheted tops on the beds were a bit eerie to wake up to in the middle of the night :) Convenient to everything downtown French Quarter. Parked our car and did not move it for 2 days. The personnel at the Inn were so professional and so personable. Highly recommend the experience!

This was a crazy good experience we had on our way to Florida for the winter, my first day I got caught in the storm that closed rt. 95 I ended up driving 14 hours Half of which was back roads. So my second day I decided I would take it easy drive to either Charleston or Savannah I was talking to my oldest daughter asking her where she would stay she said you should try Charleston because we hadn’t been there in quite a long time and if you’d like I will book it for you which she did. Of course the room was fabulous with it’s four posted bed, a refrigerator and plenty of room, this room was located in the older part of the hotel and was very historic. All of these things were very nice but what really made our stay was a crazy thing that happened which was completely all my fault. When I checked in I dealt with a man named Darren, a very friendly and professional man I must say. Let me get to the meat of the story when my wife and I went to dinner that evening I left $1900 in the safe and forgot to take it out of the safe when leaving the hotel and I didn’t realize it until I was in Venice Florida, 9 hours away,at which point I called the Meeting Street Inn. I spoke with the fellow name Isaiah who went to my room and opened the safe and found the money. He counted it and reported back to me in a very professional way that he had put it in a safe where nobody could get it. The next morning I called the Inn again and my friend Darren picked up the phone and after some conversation he decided the best way to get me the money to me was to send a corporate check which has been received already and that was within days. I can’t tell you how the staff of this hotel makes the Meeting Street Inn such a special place between Darren and Isaiah and the young lady name McKenzie, who all really stepped up with their friendly customer service efforts for me. They made a difficult situation very pleasurable so when passing through Charleston I will always stay at the Meeting Street Inn !!! Thanks again for your help, Frank.

What a lovely old hotel and just in the right part of town. Check-in was pleasant and the room was clean and nicely decorated. Continental breakfast was a nice bonus. The only issue is parking, the website says " We offer private, off-street parking near the Inn." but when you arrive there is no place to even park to check-in so we had to park in a pay to park lot. It would be nice to have that clarified before arrival. Fix that and you have a near perfect experience.

Thank you for sharing. I do apologize for any confusion on the parking. The website is quoted as "Valet and Self-parking offsite" ($20/night self-parking, $30/night valet parking). However, I am thrilled to hear you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again!

I've stayed here quite a few times. This was our second stay at The Meeting Street Inn this year. The rooms are very nice with plenty of room and always clean. The location is awesome. It's right across the street from the market. King Street is one street over and Bay Street is a very short walk. It's also a short walk to the battery. They do complementary wine, cheese and crackers every afternoon. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They are all very friendly and they offer prompt service. You can't go wrong staying at this hotel.
