The rooms here are the perfect downtown location- within walking distance of all attractions. We stayed in the State Room which has all the magic and charm of historical Charleston. Our host Donna is the most genuinely hospitable person I've ever met. She felt like family. Her compassion and knowledge made navigating Charleston a breeze. From arrival to departure it... More

I knew we would enjoy the place we picked as soon as we pulled up. This is a really beautiful building in a great location. You really don't need to drive after you park. If we wanted to go anywhere that it was too hot to walk to, we just got an Uber. Donna was very helpful and helped us... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 27 State Street and even stayed an extra night because we were so impressed with our accommodations. The room was large and felt like an apartment. Everything was clean and inviting. Best of all we were so close to everything and spent our time walking from site to site in Charleston. Donna was an... More

This was our first trip to Charleston, and we could not have selected a better place to stay than 27 State Street Bed and Breakfast. The accommodations were beyond expectation - we stayed in the Queen Street Quarters; and the breakfasts were more than adequate. Where to start? The basics: quaint, comfortable, and CLEAN. Breakfast each morning was simple, fresh, and delicious. Donna, the general manager, was fabulous. The running of the B&B is a labor of love for her and it shows in every detail. My husband and I went for a relaxing 4 day getaway and didn't have to do a thing. We... More
