We chose this hotel based upon comments we read on Trip Advisor but mostly for its location across from the Visitor Center. We did not rent a car so this was a very convenient location for leaving on booked tours as well as using the Carta DashTrolley which has scheduled stops across the street. We enjoyed the breakfast and felt there was a variety of foods offered both hot and cold. As there is no housecleaning of rooms we requested fresh towels at the desk each morning. The staff was quick to provide whatever you needed. As a note housekeeping is available upon request. Our only complaint, and we knew this in advance, was that the room rate doubled for our Friday night stay.

Hotel's Favourite
My friend and I chose this hotel to do a girls getaway. It was perfect. Right in the heart of the historic area, in fact in a historic building, but reasonable prices. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff super nice. The breakfast was slightly limited, but that is normal right now, Highly recommend.

Fantastic location! Interior is a little aged, but our room and common areas were clean. Staff was friendly, greeted us every morning at breakfast. Hotel is right across the street from a visitor's center and public transportation that can take you to closer to area attractions. It is within a mile of several attractions, shopping, and restaurants. We didn't have a car with us, so my husband and I walked and/or took public transportation to and from the various activities we chose.

The Hampton location is absolutely perfect…across the street from visitors center (plantation tour boards here as well as all routes for free shuttles). There are many restaurants nearby as well as rooftop bars and entertainment. We had a king kitchenette with refrigerator & microwave, pull out couch overlooking the pool. Had trouble closing refrigerator door (too tight to wall) but reported for repair. Due to COVID, we put out our garbage and exchanged towels. The breakfast had pumpkin and banana nut waffles alternating with regular. Breakfast menu changed daily. Wish there would have been lighting on perimeter wall on John St. for improved visibility in the evening. We found front desk, housekeeping friendly & helpful. They even held our luggage for late departure. Would recommend!
