Stayed here for one night on January 8th, and it was my third time at this hotel. Two out of the three visits were during Covid, and one was during the restaurant renovation, so I can't really compare apples to apples. That said, the front desk and hotel staff are very helpful, the food was delicious, and all service aspects were great. My only "gripes" are that there was no wastebasket in the hotel room - only in the bathroom, and that the tiling/grout, etc in the bathroom was looking pretty tired. Also, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, but that could be due to Covid? Not sure. This was such a brief trip I wasn't able to get out and enjoy, but the location is terrific. It's a lovely one mile walk down King St to the Battery - a great way to start the day!

Hotel's Favourite
Perfect location, excellent service, great amenities, and very comfortable rooms. Spotless. Strong attention given to COVID considerations. Hotel parking is available at the garage across the street. This was our second time there, and no doubt, not the last.

This hotel was chosen because I am very familiar with the Marriott offerings and wanted a nice upgrade for the post-Christmas period. Our suite was comfortable but it wasn't as "upgraded" as I had expected given the points asked. In addition, and EVERYTHING has to be couched in terms of Covid, I think if the hotel cannot provide the services you would normally expect, they ought to be up-front about that and then offer to compensate in some other way. To be asked to pay full price when the maid service is necessarily curtailed seems a bit like paying money for services not received. When we asked, we were able to get fresh towels and coffee for our 5-day stay but that required two visits to the front desk and finally accosting a maid in the corridor-fairly chaotic. The front desk staff were pleasant but seemed ineffective at times. The breakfast offering was "Grab and Go" with a fairly limited menu which was way below the standard I expected. The door/bell staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful so it was always nice to return and be recognized by them. The hotel is in a good spot--quiet enough not to be too busy but very close to King Street for shopping and dining--the latter just as well because the hotel has no restaurant (although Vivian Howard's "Lenoir" is attached but staying at the hotel affords no ability to book a table). All in all we were happy but a little disappointed.

My family and I just returned from our stay at this property and I can't say one bad thing about it. Every staff person we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The location is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants we did not feel the need to rent a car at all. This could be our new go to spot for taking a short trip. I highly recomend staying here!!!

Location was central to everything. Hotel was very nice. Cafe off the lobby was great for breakfast. We did not have dinner at the hotel but it was packed when we peeked in. Only complaint- $42 per night for parking. A cheaper alternative would be helpful.
