My stay at the Ashley Inn exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was excellent, the property was amazing, clean, lovely in décor and very close to downtown Charleston. I am already trying to figure out when I can come back. I had the pleasure of meeting Barry, the owner, at breakfast my last day and he is so knowledgeable... More

We wanted to stay in Charleston for one night before continuing on to the beach. Ashley Inn is a lovely antebellum inn located about 1.4 miles from Charleston's historical center. Price was fair when we checked out the other B&Bs in the area. Upon checkin we were greeted by Janelle and showed our charming room #5. Inn is totally beautiful.... More

The Ashley saved the day the staff made us so welcome the room was charming and clean and close to downtown. We spent two nights at Ashley and two nights a their sister Inn The Cannonboro Inn just down the street both Inns we... More

Southern charm right down to the friendly welcome, delightful breakfast on the veranda, evening wine and cheese. Room was charming, clean, perfect temperature. Most notable was the world class service of Janelle (who doubles as a breakfast chef!) and Sarah. Fabulous experience in every way!

We stayed for one night recently and would definitely return. The house had a lot of charm and is in a good location although it is on the edge of some of the commercial development around MUSC. Room was nice with a great balcony overlooking the adjacent street. One criticism I had was the parking lot was definitely not designed... More

Thank you for your positive review and comments. We are so thankful we have private parking at our inns considering most inns in our city require their guests to find their own available on-street parking. Our guests love being able to park outside of the inn for ease and convenience to the cities restaurants and tours. We hope you'll come... More

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better all-around B&B on the Charleston peninsula. You can stay in the heart of the historic district, but that would be likely more crowded, with less free off-street parking, and noisier and more expensive. You could stay farther north or off the peninsula but that would be far from what you're here... More

Loved our stay and felt extremely safe and comfortable as a lesbian couple. The staff was super nice and everything felt homey. My only suggestion would be to add a full length mirror to the bedroom. The wifi seemed to only be available downstairs and didn't reach the second floor, but that really didn't bother me as I rarely used... More

Had a wonderful stay with my husband at the Ashley Inn! Rooms were generously sized, very comfortable, and above all CLEAN. Breakfast was great! Staff were very friendly and informative regarding the history of the house and town in general. Would definitely recommend. Only caveat - may be out of walking distance to French Quarter for some.

Ashley Inn was the first B&B I have stayed at and it was a delightful place with beautiful wall art, delicious breakfast and afternoon snacks consisting of crackers, cheese, dip and wine. For breakfast on Saturday, we had a ham and cheese crepe. On Sunday we had french toast with orange syrup. The room was clean, organized and neat. Check... More

We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was fantastic. We were on the 3rd floor and did ok but if you have a hard time with stairs of a lot of luggage beware that it can be a difficult climb. Our only complaint was that the ice machine wasn't working. We could only get ice... More
