We stayed at the Ashley Inn, downtown Charleston as it was only a few blocks from our daughters home. The location was great, very central, and included parking which is "huge" in Charleston. The room was very spacious and clean. I would recommend requesting an upstairs room as room #1 was noisy in the morning since it is next to...

Charming 1830 home that is now a fully appointed Bed & Breakfast. Janelle and her staff did an outstanding job providing hospitality and a comfortable homey atmosphere in the center of Charleston. Next time I'm in Charleston I will be staying at the Ashley Inn again.

I'll list pros first: breakfast was delicious! It was available at the last minute. Beautiful old home Cons: home was not as clean as it should be - carpeting on stairs need vacuuming, had to ask for sheets to be replaced but they did not replace them!; sofa in suite was extremely stained and should have been replaced; basebaords and...

My stay at the Ashley Inn exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was excellent, the property was amazing, clean, lovely in décor and very close to downtown Charleston. I am already trying to figure out when I can come back. I had the pleasure of meeting Barry, the owner, at breakfast my last day and he is so knowledgeable...

We wanted to stay in Charleston for one night before continuing on to the beach. Ashley Inn is a lovely antebellum inn located about 1.4 miles from Charleston's historical center. Price was fair when we checked out the other B&Bs in the area. Upon checkin we were greeted by Janelle and showed our charming room #5. Inn is totally beautiful....

Southern charm right down to the friendly welcome, delightful breakfast on the veranda, evening wine and cheese. Room was charming, clean, perfect temperature. Most notable was the world class service of Janelle (who doubles as a breakfast chef!) and Sarah. Fabulous experience in every way!

We stayed for one night recently and would definitely return. The house had a lot of charm and is in a good location although it is on the edge of some of the commercial development around MUSC. Room was nice with a great balcony overlooking the adjacent street. One criticism I had was the parking lot was definitely not designed...

Thank you for your positive review and comments. We are so thankful we have private parking at our inns considering most inns in our city require their guests to find their own available on-street parking. Our guests love being able to park outside of the inn for ease and convenience to the cities restaurants and tours. We hope you'll come...

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better all-around B&B on the Charleston peninsula. You can stay in the heart of the historic district, but that would be likely more crowded, with less free off-street parking, and noisier and more expensive. You could stay farther north or off the peninsula but that would be far from what you're here...

Loved our stay and felt extremely safe and comfortable as a lesbian couple. The staff was super nice and everything felt homey. My only suggestion would be to add a full length mirror to the bedroom. The wifi seemed to only be available downstairs and didn't reach the second floor, but that really didn't bother me as I rarely used...
