Staying at Rheas offered a low key weekend with privacy, great food and fantastic staff. Not only was Rhea's Inn clean, well maintained and comfortable, but it was very affordable. A major plus was eating in the restaurant below our room and enjoying some cocktails. A weekend at Rheas was like a mini-vacation. I will definitely go back. Thank you...

We had dinner here in Dec. 23, 2016. We had a nice table by the front window, very nice. The first thing we noticed was that everyone seemed to know someone in the restaurant. The family next to us had 2 children that were the best, most well behaved young children you ever saw. The parents were engaging and friendly....

This is a very strange restaurant. They have what they call a bed and breakfast upstairs but they rent out rooms on a monthly basis. The food and service was minimal. There is a bar but not a bartender, waitress doing both. I believe it is a family business so I don't mean to be negative, but there is definitely...

Drove by this spot while on vacation with a very uptight New Yorker who was having a fit over being in a different state and out of his element.... I ordered all seafood while he had the rack of ribs and bar b que chicken. I force fed him a raw clam. He wasn't happy but what can I say,...

Just a block over the Newport City line, Rhea's Inn located on East Main Rd is easy to get to the beaches, mansions, and shopping areas of Newport. We chose it for a four nite stay because it is out of the tourist area, always exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds. Recently nicely renovated, all rooms have bathrooms, the simple...

Had the fried seafood platter; expected bigger portions but tasted great . Salad was simply 2 grape tomatoes , 2 sliced cucumbers and greens. Highlight of the dinner was the stuffed mushrooms appetizer..DE-LISH!! Wonderful service. Homey and clean. Waitress Hillary quite the multi-tasker!

Jimmy the son & I believe the owner checked us in while he was cooking in the restaurant, lol, busy guy. He was very pleasant. The first thing I noticed was the room was CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Smelled clean, looked clean. Thanks Mama! It's a family run business so I'm assuming it was Mama I saw doing the cleaning. There...

My husband had a burger & NE clam chowder & I had the stuffed flounder. We both loved our meals. The service was great. 1 server was tending bar, checking in guests & taking care of approx. 8-10 tables. She did a great job.

We were happy with our stay a year ago so we returned again. This time we had a more spacious, comfortable room. The location is perfect, just minutes from downtown Newport. The best part, though, is getting to know the owner/operator, Jimmy, and his wonderful mother. They keep the place running smoothly and attend to every guest's needs. The rooms...

In the mood for delicious ribs and headed right to Rhea's. Meaty tasty fall of the bone ribs here. Good half rack portion and took the rest home. I enjoyed the baked stuffed fish stuffed with a tasty shrimp stuffing. A side of fresh green beans and a baked potato complimented the fish perfectly. Always a great dining experience here.
