I recently stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed myself, The grounds and our room were immaculate and the owners could not have been nicer. I would recommend The Whale Tale to anyone! Quiet and clean mean everything to a traveler and this place was just that!

The Sea Whale is not much to look at from the road but don't be deceived, this a sweet little spot. The rooms are small but very clean and the top rooms have a deck overlooking the water and nearby 1st Beach. The owner was setting out flower baskets when we arrived and was clearly proud of his establishment. The...

As we drove up to The Sea Whale I had very low expectations. We arrived at the motel just in time to watch the lovely sunset on the upper deck. I strongly suggest getting a room on the second level. The rooms on the first level looked like they would be very dark. Our room was clean. I did not...

The owners of the property were very nice and helpful. They are always ready to help, give directions and tips about where to go or where to eat. Our daughter loved the ducks and bunnies on the backyard. Jeff feeds them in the afternoon. The view of the reservior was also very nice. Location-wise, it's very close to the beach,...

The owners are sooooo accommodating! Very good intel about the area. Great suggestion for parking and what sights to see. We loved the area and food so much that we stayed an extra night. Ate ice cream on the picnic table in the back of the hotel and watched the sunset.

Very clean place. Owners are always there and take their reputation seriously. Nice little deck on the back located on a pond. Bathrooms are small and at $149 it is a bit pricey with no continental breakfast. For $125 per night would have given it five stars. If you aren't worried about price, book it you'll find the place nice.
